Unlikeable trope-laden cast with little-to no depth, convoluted storytelling and plot-decision making system, slow-moving narrative with very little actually occuring. Cleared the entire first A Chapter.

The mystique and overall atmosphere is nice, as is the OST, but it's hard to invest and stay invested when the plots moving at a snails pace and little to nothing is given to us to contextualize the surrounding events. When you drag suspense on that long with no meat along the way it can feel very unfulfilling, especially when all the side ends and decisions just amount to our focal character making ridiculously stupid decisions, resulting in their death (Typically.)

These ends aren't meaty/ full of alternative pov's/ outcomes/perspectives like i'm used to experiencing in top VN's like fate stay night, tsukihime, steins gate, etc. They've all just been the same silly deaths.

Perhaps it improves, but I'm clearly not the intended audience.

Its the GOTY.

Not perfect but improves on the original game in some creative ways. (Perspective Rotations, Adding depth to side characters, taking an interesting spin on some character arcs).

Would like to see a full route of this caliber for Stein's Gate (first game) True End route.

Much better than the anime.
