Took a bit for this game to click for me, having never having really played another game like it. Ended up having a ton of fun. Made a chaotic neutral wild mage wizard named SPRUNGO that slings fireballs around as often as he breathes. He was a walking nuke, feared by both enemies and party members alike. I will say that there are some must-have quality-of-live options you should enable to smooth out some of this game's many rough edges. Make the game pause whenever you encounter an enemy, look up where to find the gem bag/ potion bag/ and spellbook ASAP just to carry more stuff, enable your spell AOE indicator (by changing the "show AOE" setting in the game's baldur,lua file from a 0 to a 1) to see where exactly your fireballs will land. Overall, I had a ton of fun. Make sure to talk to every named NPC you come across to get as many quests (or new companions) as possible.

GOD I wish I had friends to play video games with

Fantastic game. Great music, amazing characters, extremely funny dialogue and character interactions. For such a short game, every second is packed full of cute, quirky goodness. Its short, sweet, and there's extra stuff if you replay it, especially if you aim for the true ending (which i super recommend). Also unexpectedly emotional. Please play this game.

The art design is flawless, the music is bangin', combat is fun, and traversing each dungeon was great. The biggest flaw of this game is the writing, which starts off super strong and then gets weaker and weaker as the game progresses. Combat isnt very well balanced, especially with baton passes being a thing. You are overwhelmingly strong and 9 times out of 10, enemy encounters get destroyed on the first turn if you know what you're doing. Playing on harder difficulties is recommended. I still recommend this game, even if I like other Persona games much MUCH more.

This game was a lot of fun. I love the Half Life series but I can also admit OG Half Life 1 has significant flaws, especially towards the end. This game improved Xen quite a bit (and made the environmental design BEAUTIFUL by the way). Still a bit rough around the edges and I ran into this weird bug that crashed the game every time I got to it and was forced to skip to the next chapter, but overall I recommend you play this over OG Half Life 1.

A game that made me love my friends significantly less after playing with them

Give me a hammer and all the monsters I see will be nails.

I couldn't see very well from behind my door shields for a decent chunk of the game but what I did see was pretty cool.

Getting invaded by weirdos with names like THICC_DICC expecting an honorable duel and then getting mad and leaving angry comments on my steam profile when they don't get one was also pretty cool.

Pros:

Tabletop Simulator is a cool game where, depending on the mod, you can play any tabletop game you can think of. Unfortunately, there are no cute girls, you can't fly, and there's no fishing mini-game so its not a perfect game. It is, however, definitely worth the price if you like board games and also like making your friends mad by ignoring them while theyre explaining rules to flick ♥♥♥♥ across the table.
