I've been playing for much longer than my steam hours suggests, having played since 2013 when the game came out. (I have all achievements because of importing said 10+ y/o save) and have also contributed to some of the early mods for the game that came out before the Steam version was ever a thing.

Cookie Clicker has a unique spot in the history of Idle gaming, being ostensibly the oldest and longest running game of the genre. The game is so much larger than it was at it's release, yet it's still just as fun.
If you like other idle games, you'll like this one too. and C$6.49 is not a bad price for the Steam version where you get access to Steam Cloud saves, and Workshop Mod support.

This game feels like a cash grab designed to exploit the nostalgia of Tetris players.

What content is actually in here, is done *mostly* well. The documentary parts (if a bit lame) are well made, and the emulated games are done pretty good, if a bit lacking. I only have 1 problem with it, and it's that some of the games lack features for no discernible reason. For example, Tetris (MS-DOS, 1985) has *no* rebind-able controls, and relies on you having a numpad, which is no longer a reasonable assumption to make.

Tetris Time-warp is actually really fun. It's a simple gimmick, but it's fun to play nonetheless. The multiplayer was fun as well, but it's let down by not having any built-in online multiplayer, instead relying on Steam Remote Play Together, which has enough lag and ping problems to be a huge issue for Tetris, giving a massive host advantage. This really sucks because literally every major Tetris game that has come out in the last 5 years and has multiplayer has had *online* multiplayer. So either you play couch-only, which is not an option for some, or you play over a service that makes the host win every time.

The games chosen to be emulated are interesting, but not a very *good* selection. I feel as if they could have picked more historically significant games or even just found more *interesting* games from a gameplay standpoint. Maybe there's licensing issues I am not aware of, but it still feels extremely lazy.

The documentary part is fine, but it's not worth a whole 45 dollars Canadian. It's also let down by the fact that if you are buying the game, you watch the documentary *once* and then you don't watch it again. It has no replay value. So a good 90% of the work put in has no reason to stay in your library when you actually finish it. That's not to say that games that have no replay value are bad, it's just that the game needs to be priced accordingly.

Overall, for CAD $45, this game is not worth it. If it goes on sale for, say, $10, then maybe it's worth getting, but at this price point, I cannot recommend it.

If you want something fun, get Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 or Tetris Effect: Connected. Or go play TETR.IO. All of those are significantly better for the price, and you can learn a lot more about Tetris' history on YouTube, for completely free.

Basically it's own game, with how much it adds.

$40 seems like a lot for a DLC but given just how much this adds to the game, it's absolutely a fair price.

PAYDAY 3: Not Complete Dogwater Anymore™

This game has come a long way since release. It's been a full year, so you would hope that. That being said, this game has a bunch of issues that need to be fixed and a ton of QOL that is still missing despite the long amount of time that it's been since launch, but right now the game is right about how I would expect other games to actually launch, missing a few basic things and having some odd bugs. The game is slowly healing, and right now, if you do plan to get it, I would recommend getting it on sale. This game is still not worth full price in it's current state.

I am giving it a tentative recommend because I am on the fence and if Starbreeze keeps up the QOL additions and bugfixes, as well as continuing to walk back on the anti-consumer practices they decided to do, then I am all for supporting this game through it's slow, but steady improvement. Now that Almir is in charge, hopefully he now has a chance to actually make the decisions that make this game fun and not yet another carbon copy always online shooter with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anti-consumer ideas behind it. In the meantime, I will be playing this less than I will be playing PAYDAY 2.

No longer playing this game out of the not-so-recent events regarding Sony's own stupidity.
Vote with your wallet and actions, not with your words.

Shame, cause this game is quite fun.

This game is good, if you are willing to sit through it's manual.
I've played my fair-share of modded Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes and it's arguably easier than this. The manual could absolutely be rewritten for clarity and to make it much easier to understand.
If you play KTaNE vanilla and are looking for something like it, this isn't it. However, if you want extra complexity, This might be worth grabbing.

Hyper demon is one of those games where you look at any video of it and go "what the ♥♥♥♥ is happening?"
This game is good, go play it.
