tl;dr of what I wrote then deleted because it's a review not an essay:

game is either far too hard or far too easy
the game likes to screw you over for no particular reason
the defining feature of the game is that you are going to restart over and over and over again

I do still really like the game, but I can't recommend it to people.

The animal people yearn for the fishin' holes.

This game is very much EARLY ACCESS. If you treat it as such, and take it for what it is, it's a lot a fun, though basic for now. If you like storm chasing, I would definitely follow this game but perhaps hold off on buying 'till a few months of playtesting and iteration have improved it. Can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Still more fun than standalone.
