EU IV is an incredible historical strategy game once you get over the learning curve.
It is a game I come back to time and time again since every nation feels like playing a different game.

The one caveat I would give is that I have bought most of the DLC and I wouldn't want to play it without at least a few of the most important ones.

That was easily the strangest game I have ever played.

This may be my favorite game I have ever played. Most of Paradox's games are a bit too heavy for me but this one hits my sweet spot.
I like how this game is less about achieving victory and more about the story you create and the random events that happen along the way.

If you liked the Harvest Moon games then you will like this one.
There are plenty of things to collect and strive for such that you seemingly never run out of something to strive for.
