Early Access Review
I bought this game waaaaaaaaaaaay back in Early Access, and it was clunky as hell. I was absolutely in love with it, but I couldn't really recommend or even buy it for people back then because I tolerate a lot more jank than some of my friends, even then I didn't really give it too much time.

Fast forward to today and the game has been fundamentally reborn. While on the surface many parts of the game feel familiar to the very early builds, the re-addition of Multiplayer and less recently, vehicles, has transformed the scale of the game to a much larger degree. Before you could really cover any appreciable distances, the gigantic interconnected map was simply not going to get very explored during a playthrough.

A word of potential caution; PZ is absolutely brutal, and deep.

You will die. Over and over again. You'll finally make it for a week or so, and then slip up and get bit, you are now doomed.

Depending on your experience with survival games (and Survival skills in general, PZ is heavy on realistic interaction) you will eventually reach the point where you die infrequently, to something you didn't realize could happen, or simple lack of preparation (Power and Water goes out eventually, among other fun things I won't spoil).

The Indie Stone have earned every last ounce of praise and player influx they've gotten. The game is fun, scary, and extremely feature-deep and immersive. You get attached to the spaces you make your own, you get drawn into the adventure of fleeing to somewhere you've never been before, with the alternative being overrun by the horde.

Seriously, sink your teeth into this one, it's worth it.

H3VR is a game I'd been following since the early devlogs by Anton. I'd call H3 nothing short of a labour of love by him and the RUST team at this point, to the point where I primarily bought my VR headset just to play this game.

If you're at all interested in firearms, I'd say this is the absolute best VR representation of them out there today.

Edit: (March 13, 2020)

I'd like to amend my review by talking about something I feel makes this game special.

The Sosig bots. Once you're familiar with the firearms in the game, Take and Hold is the mode I play almost exclusively. The enemies in it may be giant tubes of meat with silly voicelines and a seemingly nonchalant appoach to dying, but hot dang if they aren't the best AI enemies I've fought in ANY game, VR or otherwise.

The Sosigs are fully capable of effing up. They can trip, they can leave themselves out in the open, they can accidentally shoot themselves while they run around trying to line up a shot on you.

They feel human, because they are inherently built to be imperfect. And the AI isn't even finished yet. Anton's mentioned giving AI "personality types" that change how they fight, and can determine how capable they are.

That's *huge*, and admittedly, hard to put into words how much of a difference it makes.

Game's 20 bucks. If you're a student like me, Coronavirus might be giving you some free time. Might as well try something new, especially when it's as fantastic as H3 is.

Take Two Ineractive basically just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over modding, you can't mod the game anymore, not even just for singleplayer, which is the exact reason a ton of people bought this on PC, was so they could *mod* it.

gets updated about as much as Michael Schumachers brainwaves.

that's not a lot for those of you who dont know who Schumacher is.

about as dead as David Bowie, and deserves about as much attention as small villages in africa.

might not be the prettiest game ever, but damn if it isn't the best hitman game, so many different ways to do everything, too bad I only picked it up a few days ago.
