Got the game through Bethesda when it launched and hated it. Randomly decided to give it a go in 2024 and it's actually fun to play now! I'm racking up hours very fast lmao.

--------------------------------

PROS:

- Actually runs pretty well, surprisingly well even??

- Very friendly community! Wouldn't expect any less from the fallout people, y'all are great.

- It's relatively easy to earn atoms and points to unlock things from the shop, all it takes is a bit of dedication and time. You can deffo buy cool stuff without subbing to the monthly fee or buying atoms.

- The recipe thingy is fun! The food & water survival part is fun! The setting is fun! It's all just... fun!

- The public "raid" system is pretty nice. Nothing like joining an event with 15 other rando's in full powerarmor with miniguns blasting.

- The emote communication is too damn cute lmao

--------------------------------

CONS:

- Limited storage space unless you pay a WAY too pricy montly fee. I'd subscribe to it for €5 a month but they got greedy and made the monthly fee 15€. Who the ♥♥♥♥ pays that much a MONTH for a game they already bought? nah man.

- The build limit for your base is way too low for it to be anything big and fancy. I love building so I'm very disappointed with the low limit :(

- Requires a relatively beasty PC to run smoothly. I run it nicely bc I got a pc made for streaming and recording, but my bf is struggling with freezes and lagspikes constantly with his old gen gaming pc.

--------------------------------

In conclusion I recommend the game, I just wish they'd lower the price of Fallout 1st. I'm sure they'd actually earn more in the long run if they did, since more people would likely subscribe. Oh well

I got the game at launch and we all know how that went, but despite the ups and MANY downs I actually enjoyed it back then! I decided to take a break from it when my mainquest was bugged, and fast forward til like half a year later I've picked it back up and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

Of course, I'm still bummed out over a few things- like the fact that:
- The parkour feature was removed pre-launch. With the way they've designed the entire map it's clear it was MADE for the creativity of parkouring, and it makes me sad to miss out on the many amazing spots that are difficult to reach because of it.

- I wish the character creation had more freedom!! I LOVE how we can change our looks up in the mirrors now, but I really wish the piercings and scars/tattoos were layerable so you could pick EXACTLY what you want instead of just flipping through sets. I'm a sucker for character creation tho.

- Minor bugs are still present but honestly for the most part they're just funny. Ofc it breaks the immersion when the audio cuts out, or a random car magically launches itself to the moon, but all-in-all I don't mind it too much.

- I really wish there were more places to enter and more things to do. Like shops, haircuts, etc. I know a lot already exist, but I feel like the distance between each spot is rather far. It would also be a LOT of fun if we got more side-options like... GAMBLING? That'd be amazing.

That's all I can think of for now, but who's to say these things won't be added in the near future? The game is still being updated frequently and so far the recent updates have been *chefs kiss*.
I'm super excited to see what else we'll get.

Good game, great potential. :> 4/5

Think Minecraft + DayZ + Rust all had a threeway and birthed this saint of a game. If you like openworld sandbox survivals you'll LOVE 7DTD.

Definitely in my top 5 favourite games that I know I'll come back to over and over again. It's gonna be one of the few I pass 1k hours in for sure- coming from someone who gets bored of games REALLY fast. 5/5

NEW REVIEW
It's one of my absolute all-time favourite games now. GG.
I enjoy it both solo and with friends on our own server, it takes quite a long time to run out of ideas on what to do. If you're bored of exploring and grinding you can go wild and just build a lot. Of course there's still room for improvement, so I'll just make a + and - list ^^

POSITIVES
+ Fun open world survival game.
+ The food system is fine once you get used to it!
+ The building mechanism is wonderful, you can pretty much make anything you want with a bit of creativity.
+ The bossfights and whatnot are fun so far, I haven't cleared all of them yet.
+ It feels rewarding af to thrive in a biome you used to fear!!!
+ Actually a very pretty game visually. It's really calming, PVE aside!

NEGATIVES
- The raids @ your base are annoying as hell when you're just trying to build and expand it. That's probably the point though.
- It lacks a proper "creative mode" for builders, but it can be fixed with the various mods on Nexus.
- We definitely need more house decorations and building pieces. Legit, the building in this game is SO MUCH FUN!
- The grind can get a bit tedious honestly. I've modded my game to allow ores through portals and berry planting, but I guess I'm simply not out for the most extreme game-mode challenge.
- I'm personally not a great fan of the whole "new character for each game" kinda thing. I don't see why it's necessary to use the same character with the same inventory between different games/worlds. It's confusing having to switch between each character for every world I have. I don't see the point.

Other than that I'm eagerly waiting for the future updates tbh. I'm loving the game so far and can't wait to see what else they'll toss our way! :D

OLD REVIEW

I went in expecting it to be more similar to Rust and 7DTD because steam said so, but it's quite different and not my type of game.

I'd love to have a first person POV and I don't like how the hotbar with my inventory is up in the corner instead of down at the bottom like most other games. I also don't like the food system (considering I wanted it to be more similar to the games mentioned above), the buffs and "you can only eat one of each" is kinda annoying.

Over-all a good game though, just not my type or what I expected- judging from my 1.6 hours.
I'll probably check it out again once it out of BETA though. :>

DBH Is an AMAZING game, easily one of my favourites out there when it comes to storytelling.

HOWEVER I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND BUYING THE PC VERSION!
It's INCREDIBLY buggy and I've had to restart my game multiple times because of a weird black thing oozing into the screen, eventually covering everything until you switch to a new scene. It's extremely annoying. I knew the PC version has previously been very broken but I expected they'd fix it before releasing it on stream for this high of a price. The game itself is worth this price, but for the amount of bugs and issues it's a bit of a heartbreaker.

Oh- and if you're planning on streaming/recording your playthrough on OBS you should be aware of the fact that the games engine itself ♥♥♥♥♥ with your mic in OBS, making weird clippings happen that neither I nor my community could figure out. It's a wellknown issue if you google it. Not THAT big of a deal but if you're a perfectionist like me it's bound to bring your mood down a bit on stream lmao.

But if you're ok with these type of silly bugs, then by all means get it. I couldn't recommend this game enough!

Just as I commented on Bioshock Remastered: The game itself is amazing, just like the series!
HOWEVER it keeps crashing! nonstop!
I also save nonstop, but that doesn't change the fact that it's annoying to boot it up 4 times in 40 min...
I'm also terrified of what some other guy said in his review, about his saves getting corrupted and having to replay a lot because of the constant crashes combined with it...
I hope this is fixable, I thought the first game was bad with the few crashes I had, but this game is at least 5 times worse when it comes to it....

The game, just like the entire series is great. But sadly it freezes and crashes from time to time, so make sure to save frequently as new saves just in case the saves get corrupted!

Been wanting this game since it came out and finally got my hands on it!
I'll tell you with pride that I ended up playing with no more than a 20 minute break during my 12 hour session. :']

I can't recommend it enough though! Especially as I'm adding more and more mods and it all just works together perfectly fine! Currently I'm using about 50 mods, and it's running as smooth as a babies butt!
Uploading a bunch of screenshots to my profile aswell as instagram atm. ^^

Quite the buggy game, but it doesn't stop me from spending +200 hours on it.
It's worth getting. I just wish they could be a bit more loyal, stop with the endless DLC's and just give us some stuff, ye know?

I keep coming back to this game, even after like 4 years of playing it!
Hella worth, esp with mods.
