I was really excited about this game until I finally got to the town, and realized that it was basically Farmville with automated battles. The town management is boring and dumb, the battles are boring and dumb, and oh yeah there's nothing else left.

Going to wait until the bugs get fixed. Right now it's such a broken pos. I managed to complete one day out of three attempts, because bugs ruined the game and stopped me from being able to interact with anything.

This game had a great concept and can be fun for a few hours, but after 9 months since the launch, the game is only getting worse. The developer changed the game so that griefers can literally stop you from being able to play the game at all, argues with customers on the forums, doesn't listen to feedback, etc.

The UI is also very basic, which becomes obvious when you start using mods like OHOL+, which adds much needed functionality like the ability to zoom out, allowing you to see more than 2 tiles in front of you. I would say that I hope one day things improve, but from the attitude of the developer, I doubt it'll do anything but get worse until it dies, which at this rate is only a few months away. The game has about 1/8th of the playerbase that it started with.

Meh, so many problems compared to Chivalry, and it doesn't have any features that make it better than Chivalry.

There's a mode called "frontline" where the objective is to use any of the two dozen flanking spots to get around the enemy and sneak up on them while making no noice and wearing full plate. So half of your deaths are due to someone hitting you from behind, and you see the same people use this tactic over and over.

The lag is insane, good luck playing an archer with server side hitboxes.

Teams are imbalanced, and red almost always wins. I don't even play the game if I get put on blue team.

The community is the worst of any game I've ever played. Haven't played a single game without seeing at least one n-bomb in chat. Streamers beware.

I could go on and on, it's just overall a disappointment. Don't waste your time, play Chivalry instead.

Great game, if you want to play a game of loading screens for 15+ minutes followed by your CPU and GPU maxed out for no reason. I loved RoK and was looking forward to this, but man what a disappointment.

This game needs an open world mode instead of just a bunch of random boring missions. Until that happens, it's just not fun after about an hour.

Will change my review if the devs fix:

1) Griefers able to attack friendlies.
2) Griefers able to camp outside a clan house doorway, inevitably get in when someone needs in, then dump all the valuable loot in the middle of nowhere or by the opposing faction's base.

Until then, this game is unplayable as one person can completely ruin the game.

Looks like griefing was addressed, and the last patch had a lot to it as well. Nice job, changed to positive.

Update after retrying 2 years later (5/20/20): I tried coming back to the game with a friend, and we hit a bug that forced our game to be corrupt (the hunting quest got bugged because we did quests in a different order than what was expected by the dev, and now we can't ever leave the town). Still unplayable.

Very disappointed.

SK1 was better, and imo it was an unpolished, unfinished game.

-Multiplayer drops the other person every few minutes.
-Multiplayer guests see NPCs walking in place.
-Order chest randomly becomes unusable and you lose your items.
-Front door randomly flies to the moon.
-Mobs spawn on a timer in the same exact location.
-AI is boring and clunky (pathing over tables, entire town walks single file, etc).
-You can complete everything in the game within 2 hours by spam selling red masks.

I could literally go on for hours just listing bugs and problems. It's just not fun, mixed with the fact that SK1 and CraftKeep were a major let down, and all the controversey with the company (such as the main developer talking trash to customers, delaying the game two hours before release, etc) it's hard to convince anyone to buy this.

I've reached my limit with this company, not bothering anymore.
