If you forget that this is a sequel to Supreme Commander, and throw away your expectations, you'll discover that Sup Com 2 is a very solid strategy game. While being less complex than the original, it's way less janky to play, overally a much more enjoyable experience thanks to extremely good unit pathing, better game pacing, and more differences between the races. The game also performs very well on all hardware, and is very visually pleasing. A great time for people who like classic RTS games.

For people looking forf Supreme Commander FA 2, you will not find it here. SC 2 Sacrifices a lot of fidelity found in the first game- normal units can no longer miss, there are no tech tiers, economy is changed into old-school standard and the selection of units is cut. But it doesn't mean Supreme Commander 2 doesn't bring anything new to the table.
The biggest one, research trees, bring the whole new level to the game, basically allowing players to specialize and chose whatever technologies they want. This allows everybody to improve their units in varriety of ways (for example, adding personal shields, range, anti air cannons or improving health of existing units). Every unit is viable in the result and will scale well into the lategame, unlike the previous game where there was no point building weaker units.
The factions also differ a lot more in the sequel. They all still have access to simmilar types of units (each faction has access to some different permutations though) but the technologies you can get for them make them differ a lot in a long run. For example, playing as cybran you start of a little weaker due to not having tanks, but you can upgrade your bots to have "mega armor" ability, making them really tough and equip them with jetpacks that allow them to fly across water and cover long distance quickly which can be used to bypass enemy defences. On the other hand, when you play Aeon, you don't have any navy, but your units are nearly all amphibian (forgot to mention, all cybran water units can walk on the land now, which is completly crazy!) and you can upgrade each of them to have a teleporter, wchih works simmilarly to jetpacks- smaller distance but instant effect. UEF is probably the most boring, solid on all fronts without any special gimmicks.
The last thing that we all love the most are experimental units. In SC 2, you can get them faster and also have more options, since every faction has about 7 of them! Also, they are all very creative and every one of them adds something new to the table. Playing UEF and want more units? Why don't you construck an Experimental Unit cannon that produces units at 10x rate and can launch them across the map? If you are playing Aeon and having difficulty with air, you can get an experimental Airt Defence unit or fortify your defences with Loyality gun, that captures enemy units at a very fast rate! Also, why don't you build a GIANT FLAME-BREATHING LIZZARD as a cybran?! With the help of research system, you can get access to lesser experimental very fast (even 15minutes in the game!) and get to the big beasts not that much slower.

All of this, makes SC 2 a very enjoyable srategy game. Just treat it as a stand-alone game, not as a sequel to one of the most advanced and difficult RTS games of all time. The campaign is really cool and enjoyable, and the skirmishes against bots are also very satisfying (you can customize every bot to change it's playstyle and give him bonuses). The only problem is the multiplayer. It works fine, but finding a ranked game after getting a few wins is next to impossible, leaving you with custom games that are occupied by veteran players. So, unless you play with a friend, forget about multiplayer.

I do not recommend this game for a full price. Either get it through some bundle or buy it on sale for 50% or less.

It's not a city builder or a strategy game. What we have here is a match 3 game with a little twist. It has some flaws and questionable designs, but the match 3 element is solid enough to compensate. Apart from that, there is nothing more to add here, besides maybe occasional funny bits of dialog and pseudo story telling happening between the missions.
If you really like non-traditional match 3 games (like puzzle quest) you may want to consider playing this game when it goes on sale. I got 20hours (Actually, more like 10, since there is a lot of downtime in this game) worth 5$ I spent on it getting humble bundle.

20 hours in and I already know I won't be stopping anytime soon.
It is a clear improvement over the first instance of the game. It has everything old veterans asked for: more items, enemies, bosses, stuff to do, secrets and much, much more!
Rebirth features one of the prettiest looking pixel-art graphics you will ever see. Despite the style's obvious flaws, the artists did an outstanding job: the graphics are amazingly detailed (the ammount of tiny little things, like worms on the floor, water dripping on the walls, weird looking drawnings, fireflies etc is HUGE!), models look even more disturbing then in the first game, and other effects like lightning and explosions are done spot on, and greatly add to the overall atmosphere.

If you have never played Isaac before let me give you a brief explaination of what awaits you:
You objective is to beat the game, obviously. Each time you start the game you will have an entirely different run ahead of you. You will die. A LOT, but never in vain. You will learn how to deal with overpowering enemies and merciless bosses. You will pick up power-ups from a gigantic pool of items that will make you stronger, and sometimes interact with each other creating powerful combinations and synergies. Every time you beat the game you will unlock new things, the game will become harder, longer, tougher, it will seem more and more unfair. It will try to break you. But then, you will finally win, trully win, and let me tell you: that is going to be the best feeling of your entire life. Then you can play it more. No, you WILL play it more. Because Isaac is like a drug. You will always try one more time, try to beat it one more time, to show the game you own it, not the other way around. And then you will accept, that you can't win every time and the game will ♥♥♥♥ you up from time to time. But if you do that, you will you greatly enjoy when you get this one awesome synergetic combination of items you have never got before (despite playing for hundreds of hours) and you will steamroll the game to your great pleasure.

TL/DR: Buy the game! It's great.

The game is absolutely fantastic!
In the days when developers struggle to come up with interesting ideas we get a game that merges 2 genres that don't seem to work together well at all (I mean, rythmic, rogue-like game? who would have thought!). It's an achievement itself to combine such different concepts into one well-working game.
Despite game being in alpha state it's already well worth the price: randomly generated dungeons, daily chalange, characters that change your playstyle and competetive side of the game will keep you playing and playing and playing and playing!

I don't think I have to note that the soundtrack by Danny B. is simply fenomenal.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!
