I had this game for a long time. Never enjoyed it during beta.

Really started having fun after the full release. Though I don't like some of the dev direction to remove "player cheese"

Got this on fanatical since despite everyone losing, I wanted to hope CA wouldn't stop supporting TW WH3.
Just finished Yuan Bo campaign.
You know those final campaign battles with like 3-5 stages, 3-4 armies, and a whole bunch of content? Those ones which are difficult to do?
Yuan Bo is vs ONE ARMY OF LIZARDMEN. AND HAS TWO FULL AI ARMIES + is in a good fort + map layout. Like seriously? That's the payoff? One ♥♥♥♥♥♥ army against me and two full AI stacks? The damn AI could win on its own ffs.

Don't recommend for that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle alone.Unacceptable CA content director.

COD removes their content creators' bundles because the content creators are against the abuse of children.

This game was trash beforehand, but the media team at COD is disgusting.

I can't recommend a game where the developing company failed to pay Mick Gordon for the tracks he created, and then tossed him under the bus for their own failures.

Compared to Blitzkrieg 2, this game is pretty bad.

What's better:
Better visuals for the units and maps.
Better explosion visuals for artillery
A nice way to call in artillery and airsupport.

What's worse:
The game is grindy. Rather than winning battles and saving reserves to use for the final battle to make it easier, the game rewards you for either constantly replaying levels, playing MP, or playing their 1v1 AI battles. Not that much fun to be fair, because all of the maps and objectives are the same. It sometimes means some battles are literally impossible without grinding, which is really anti-player.

"Research" trees require even more grinding than the above to max out--requiring probably a solid hundred hours to get a single faction's tree finished. And what makes it worse, these bonuses only effect certain vehicles or troops--not all of them.

Further, how you go from early-mid-late war, isn't as good as it was in the previous installment. Before, you had to win certain battles to upgrade certain tiers of units. You want a Pz 4 H? You gotta win a late war battle to get that upgrade. You want Medium tanks? Same deal. Now, the issue is you get tons of useless out of tier units that aren't relevant in the later campaign that just muddy up your deployment queue--and if you don't replay missions to get tier 3 units, you won't have enough for later campaign missions.

And the worst thing: The bugs.
Crashes galore. Audio is super buggy. Cutscenes constantly bug out. Pausing can cause all sorts of weird problems. Long load times for literally no reason.

And, each campaign barely has any side missions to be honest. Compared to the previous installment, and the DLC it had, BK3 is missing lots of content.

Fair dinkum pretty good mates.

I've not played a ton yet, but I think the aesthetic is great, sounds are good, and the flow is simple to get and incentivizes play. I like the daily play mechanics and they make each day have some smaller goals to help with larger goals.

EDIT:
I said originally stamina was too low, and dinks were hard to earn. Neither is really true. Stamina is like in Stardew, its tied to skill in the related tool. Dinks are easy to earn with metal detecting, mining, or going for pearls.

Overall, seems like a lot of content for 20$ CDN, and looks to be a bunch of fun. I hope that true-multiplayer (stardew-esqe) is made, as this game would be tons of fun if so.

For now, I'm going to recommend it. I've not had stability issues yet. I'm on older architecture (1080ti, R5 3600xt, 32gb of ram). Its had a hitch or two, and a few frame drops, but for the graphics improvement, I'm fine with it.

Compared to all other CA release days, this one has been far better.

Is the game a bit large? Sure. It probably includes Mortal Empires.

But the rosters, campaigns, the prologue, all of this is great additions. Diplomacy has good additions, MP is finally usable, and they've improved on a fair few things that the community wanted.

Now, the UI is pretty awful. Wait for a mod to come and fix it, but its hard to read (red on red on red on red on red), and its scaled improperly. Other than that, I like most of it.

And I have about 800 hours on TW WH2, so, it's not like I'm a newcomer to this franchise.

Game is far more stable in Nov 2023.

As of right now, the game is unbalanced, the maps poorly designed lacking flair and balance.
The vehicles are too powerful, and no maps have any real focus on infantry or squad-based combat.
Add onto that still huge bugs, such as getting disconnected and being unable to join a match until restarting the entire game, or being unable to join sessions of other squadmembers, and the game is really not great.

Will it become good? Maybe. But its really bad atm.

The only good thing is the portal, but its not enough to save this game.
