1000xRESIST is for those that enjoy VNs and walking sims as the gameplay is insignificant so it won't be for everyone.
1000xRESIST is a narrative-heavy Sci-fi (my feelings are lukewarm of that genre) with no choice-making until the very end.
1000xRESIST has VA and although some of the VA is very good there are others that are lacking in quality but I can't really knock it too much since the entire game is fully voiced and there is an immense amount of dialogue.
1000xRESIST has a diverse range of characters and I would recommend talking to each and every one of them every chance you get for an even better experience.

1000xRESIST might just be my Game of the Year.
Hekki grace.

Having seen the passion and effort that went into this throughout the development stage, it was an absolute joy to finally experience the finished product. Thank you Thomas Lean, Sheepy and the team at MSS as well as Yoe, Tal and Hahlweg for the gorgeous soundtrack! Can't wait for more!

A captivating first entry of its series, enjoyable throughout. Definitely a VN to keep an eye on as it progresses.

A short, charming game that you can tell was made with a lot of heart. An easy but solid RPG, especially from a solo dev.

Exceptional. Having previously played and enjoyed games published by Toge Productions such as Coffee Talk, When The Past Was Around and to a lesser extent She and The Light Bearer, I knew beforehand this game was going to go for the feels factor so my expectations were quite high and thus wanted to wait for full release and not dive into the prologue demo. Oh did it deliver!

The gorgeous pixel art was a standout of the game and instantly drew my attention, the love and care that went into creating the scenes throughout is truly sublime. The music was fantastic which I expected since I loved the music in When The Past Was Around and Masdito Bachtiar knocked it out of the park once again, rarely do games make me search them up on Spotify/YouTube to listen outside of the game. Especially with the Arcade mini-game song, now that is a JAM. Made it 1000% more bearable going for that high-score achievement haha!

The story was a highlight, it was enjoyable and definitely tries to tug at your heartstrings but it did suffer pacing from the puzzles the game threw at you, albeit easy they did make you do a fair bit of them and there was some sidetracking having to be done which can be a slog, other than that it was good. The characters, although I didn't connect with them as much as I did with the characters in Coffee Talk, were not bad either, there were some dialogue moments between them that were a bit iffy at times but I am going to chalk that up to them translating from Indonesian to English and honestly at the end of the day it doesn't detract from the narrative as a whole being great.

The game has a few points of no return which they explicitly warn you of, so if you miss a few collectables then you may miss out on some achievements and have to re-do sections of the game (or restart entirely if you didn't save a bunch) as is what happened to me, but my achievement hunting nature isn't going to dampen the monumental praise I have for this game!

Mojiken and Toge Productions have created a gem, hopefully they've made the Indonesian Game Dev scene proud as they have in my opinion created an Indie Game of the Year contender for 2023!

Also this game has cats. A LOT of cats. So it has my vote already :)

Mutazione is a narrative-heavy game that takes place in a recovered post-apocalyptic fishing village. Within the picturesque location are a handful of wondrous inhabitants each given the appropriate spotlight for their role in the overall story. What started off and felt like a basic 'slice of life' of supporting a dying grandfather ended up having eye-opening twists and turns leaving you speechless and wanting more!

The gameplay is a point-and-click adventure (can use wasd to move also) which is nothing to write home about - Mutazione's main focus is on the narrative. There is a gardening side to the game where you have to plant specific seeds and 'harmonise' them, again nothing special gameplay wise - ties in with the narrative - but it was nice and relaxing to create a pretty garden with all the flora you could collect throughout the chapters. It was definitely a nice change if you are an achievement hunter where you are going back-and-forth on the island hunting for the different seeds!

Highly recommend it! It was a fantastic experience!

From the makers of Machinarium and the Samorost series, Amanita have it hit it out of the park once again with their latest game, Creaks.

This fantastic little game veers away from their traditional point-and-click puzzle adventures. It takes the stunning art and music that Amanita Design have perfected and applies it to beautifully crafted stages of side-scrolling puzzle goodness while still keeping that Amanita intrigue throughout!

For its base price of £17.99 it is quite steep which may turn a few heads, Creaks took me just over 10 hours to complete but is it worth it? For me absolutely, it is a game of quality and if you can get it on sale even better! It truly is worth it.

Creaks gets a highly recommended from me!
