Good 3 hour game (If you play the campaign to the end).
Swing da hammer and crush your enemies.
Make sure you trick the DPI detector by making it a low 800 units.

The greatest game I have ever played but might be equal to or less than X-COM Apocalypse.
You control a little army in a sandbox and manage all aspects of their operations
from the strategic level (Geoscape) and the tactical level (Battlescape). You will buy weapons and equip your soldiers. You will BUY the soldiers and also scientists for researching alien tech and hire engineers to build stuff for you.
This game will make you feel really weak at first, but this game has a backwards difficulty curve, so don't give up and look forward to that!
If your guys die a lot at the beginning that's okay. You can make up for it later!

Tips:
-There is no game over for losing all Funding Nations.
-You can sell manufactured items for profit.
-Automatic fire is statistically more likely to hit than the other fire modes (Be careful of ammo depletion, and use aimed shot if you are shooting close to friendlies)
-Laser pistol research is a priority. It's a small spoiler, but you'll learn this fast anyway.
-Check out OpenXcom! It's a modern open-source clone. It's actually how I play X-COM. Lots of bugs are fixed as the original game is a bit buggy (X-COM's development was trouble by publisher issues/internal change of hands).

Definitely reminds me of the X-COM Apocalypse fleet battles,
but much more arcade-y which I like.

I like all the different ammo types, and the modular designs of the ship.
You can blow off the modules on ships, and it affects how they work.

When you penetrate the hull of a ship it is done for, so try to strike weak areas a lot.
It will cause a chain reaction.

Not surprised that MicroProse hopped on to publish this game considering the above.

I like the idea of these methane powered ships, but I do not know what the general name for them are.
I think the idea is really silly and cool.

Edit:
This game has elements of Missile Command and Lunar Lander. Two of my favourite arcade games. At 38.6 Hrs I have beaten the campaign.

This thumbs up is conditional.
The few servers that are up are dead,
so get some friends and you'll be good to go.

It is just a standard Battle Royale game just like the any other BR game. There is nothing particularly interesting about this one. Apparently there are thousands of players online but they are not in the NA servers. Expect wait times of up to 8-10 minutes on average. That's the killer, really.

I've always liked these kinds of pixel destruction games, and
it's nice to finally have one that is real time.
You can turn into a frog and have turrets fall in love with you.
It's much more roguelite-y than the typical roguelite game.
