I didnt expect much, and i wasnt terribly disappointed, but in the end, i cant recommend this one. its not really a game, its an animation player. you hold down the button and watch animations play.

it certainly has some educational value, and its nice to look around the cars and play with the parts. its silly in places (you can "repair" a clutch friction disc as if it was a brake rotor), and missing a lot of details, but thats all fine, its a game, not a technical manual.

what killed it for me, in the end, is the lack of real control over anything. you just remove parts and add parts in sequence, and do almost no diagnosis or anything interesting. in order to remove pistons, you must disassemble the head. not remove, disassemble. cam rockers and everything have to come completely apart, if you want to replace piston rings. its tedious and frustrating.

its fine for what it is, and if you're looking to click on car parts for a moment, you'll be happy. but if you want anything intelligent out of this 'game', forget it. as a game, its barely more than a cookie clicker.

BRILLIANT!

i am accidentally learning to play guitar for real. i just discovered that i can read guitar tabs, just because i've played rocksmith.

no, it is not a complete, comprehensive learning tool. you will not get a degree in music from rocksmith. but it is an excellent guitar learning tool, and a fun game.
