Memey penguin game haha :D Lot of fun with friends, 5/5 would FAAFO again

Want socializing racing game? Look elsewhere, I bought this so I could play with my friends. How f**king a**backwards can inviting steam or xbox friends has to be made? SERIOUSLY? Instead of straight forward in-game invite system you have to f**k around with some stupid xbox app that sometimes doesn't even work.
Another bad aspect is that if you want to choose from multiple cool bodykits and not just one or if you want put some stickers on the glass of your car. NOPE, forget it. And on some of the cars, if you put a widebody on, you can't adjust the how much the wheels are inside the wheelwells, it makes some cars look really stupid.

Pros:
-Lot of cars, and I mean ALOT. Both old and new, lot of variety.
-Okay map size, could still be bigger tho.
-No "forced" microtransactions to progress in the game.(*)
-Racing physics are alright.
-Multiple options to choose to fit your play style.

Cons:
-(*)Microtransactions are the car packs, don't buy them unless you absolutely want to collect everyhting in the game.
-Deluxe Edition is a scam!
-Lack of Creative freedom.
-Xbox App and Microsoft account is mandatory to invite friends.
-Lack of variety on body customization parts (No stickers on the glass, stuck with 1-2 bodykits, can't mix and match different bodykits too much.)
-Map size could be bigger.

I wish I could refund this game, but sadly I can't. Not worth the 30 bucks they are asking it from the sale, even less the full price. 1/5 Experience.
This is my first and last Forza game, I'm better off playing something else like Assetto Corsa.

All this after the EAC update, just another "Update more than it fixed game", so yeah, not good, can't recommend. And the cheaters are still present with their aimbots and whatever else.

Finland has beautiful nature especially mid and north Finland, no matter if you drive highway or smaller roads, but this expansion has none of that. The lack of beautiful Finnish scenery and the map being limited couple big southern cities is disturbing. I can't recommend this DLC unless you plan to mod the game with a mod that fixes this problem and gives you access to the rest of the country.

So i used to like this game alot, over 600hrs of which atleast 200hrs were spent on dynostand to make my fav cars to have drift tunes that work for me, and i did muscle memorize their handling. Then they release an update which f*cks up all the tunes, so now you need to f*ck around in the dynostand another 200hrs to try to fix the cars with to get the cars handling like they were? That's just absolutely stupid. Ever heard of "Don't fix it if ain't broken"? Well this update clearly did not. And using KINOMOD to restore the tunes doesn't help either because any tune pre-update is broken. Just why? Why in f*ck would you (the devs) update the game physics? To achieve realism in a game that was ported from mobile? This used to be good and fun arcade drift game you could just pick up and play, but now its tryhard realistic, with too much oversteer no matter what settings you put in your car and oh boy is that frustrating.

TLDR: 2.15.0 (the engine swap update) broke the game, because the physics are wannabe realistic. Used to be good and fun arcade drifting game, now its trying too hard to be realistic which ruined the experience. I give this 1/5, update 2.15.0 ruined it.
If you want actual simulator experience you're better off playing Assetto Corsa. For more arcade experience get Absolute Drift.

UPDATE 30.05.2023: Update 2.17. Ruined ALL the TUNES and VISUALS fubar, they also modified/removed some parts from the bodykits so clown awards again go to this game. smh

ChilloutVR is way better than anything that VRChat could come up with, especially after all the f*ck ups they have done in the past and will do in the future.. GLADLY Chillout has none of that bs.
Comparing ChilloutVR and VRChat, VRC reminds me of that one guy who talked about insanity and doing things over and over again, expecting a different result. Gladly Chillout is that different result. I highly recommend this game, and if you're content creator, the unlocked account is a no-brainer.

As person who has played 13' and 15' versions way over 100h hours per game, here's my short review of the game compared to those two.

Good:
-More vehicles
-More maps
-Better physics
-Modding
-(Go Ponsse or Go home :P No deere's here)
-Dumping load anywhere you want (hope the Neighbour enjoys the smell of the pig s*it at the morning)

Bad:
-Physics are still bit wonky at times
-Keybinding can be bit tedious but worth it when running simulator setup (steering wheel, pedals and 2 joysticks)
-Game keeps resetting the keybindings every once in a while..
-No VR support
-Needs steering wheel + pedals and atleast one joystick for more realistic experience.
-Multiplayer is kinda broken at times

TLDR: Pretty much the same game as the 15' version with minor upgrades and vehicles/tools/maps, better experience when modded.

Two notes before you read further
1. Almost 700hrs on the time of the writing.
2. Game was played and launched via Oculus so the hours aren't on Steam.
EDIT: Over 1000hrs in to the game, of which 906hrs via Oculus, the rest are via Steam.

Pros:
-Cool looking worlds
-Socialization
-Lots of avatars to choose from
-Full Body Tracking
-Both Desktop & VR Support
-Upload your own worlds and avatars
-Game runs on Unity
-Funny memes
-Nice people every here and there
-"Mirror Addicts :D"

Cons:
-Too lazy Devs to fix critical issues such as but not limited to:
-Lagging instances
-Memory leak issues
-Stolen avatars
-Trolls with crashers
-Social tab not updating
-Random crashes
-Horrible optimization in certain places
-Random sudden audio bugs (others can hear you, but you cant hear them. audio glitching, etc.)
-Too limited on how many avatars you can favorite (aka Save)
-Too limited on how many worlds you can save
-Limited groups and how many things can be saved into a group (i.e. fav friends)
-You get can get banned for modding the client with mods that would actually make the experience better
-Servers are absolute garbage (seems like 7million dollars and thousands of simps paying for vrc+ wont still get decent servers and stable ones either)
-US based servers so anyone playing in EU or Asia, expect high ping and lag : ^)
-Horrible user base
-NSFW (Nudity) stuff is out of the question (worlds & avatars even if private) but yet nothing is done with the people harassing others with whatever you can imagine from racial slurs to sexual harassment and so on.
-Game runs on Unity
-If you plan to play on VR make sure you set your safety settings to max, otherwise you might get headache or nausea.


Early Access or not, too many issues remain unfixed. So basically VRChat is a badly maintained game with only glimpse of something good, with only handful of nice people in the game, but that's it. Developers seem to be having their head way too far up in their *** to fix those problems i listed above and instead add more useless interface updates. adding more nonsense into the "home world" making the game less and less fun to play with the constant crashes, errors and trolls crashing the lobbies. The user base seems to be divided into 3 types of people, mutes who 99% time are nice, the people who prefer drinking and then the trolls who are there just to annoy others. Certain other game comes in mind with almost as horrible experience (Linden Labs, i'm looking at you!) so i'd say if you're looking for fun experience, move along. For my experience, this ain't it. I will edit this review if those problems ever get fixed.

EDIT: November 2020, they introduced VRChat Plus that will come to the game aka paywall for better experience, which 10$ a month or 100$ a year. There was already a video made about the topic and those cons i listed, still remain unfixed at the time i have edited this review.

EDIT: 13th of February 2021, core game is still broken and crashes ALOT, while the devs only focus update the useless vrc+ features, and dont bother to fix the actual game. Please do yourself a favor and don't waste any time or money into this s**t, there already exists better alternatives. Also horrible ping for anyone not in US, along with constant server issues, unstability, lag/high ping etc. Absolutely unacceptable.

FINAL EDIT: VRChat decided to put EAC in the game, so if you wanted some quality of life mods, they don't work anymore. Seriously go play another VR game, like Chillout or Neos. And crashers and avatar ripping is still an issue, so EAC did nothing about it. It's just a spyware, not actually functioning Anti-cheat.

Used to play this back in a day. It's still a good and fun game to just f*ck around and f*ck sh*t up, and it's last good game in the series in my opinion, and especially even more so when modded, but note that even the Re-MARS-tered version is prone to A LOT crashing. So due to that i can't recommend this. When they remaster games they should also fix the issues, such as crashing. I suggest to buy this from sale if you're die hard RF fan, otherwise pass.

As of 2021 and way before corona was a thing, none of the mods to this game work in multiplayer, so i can't recommend this game. You can expect some off-road fun, but the vanilla vehicles get quite f**king boring and playing singleplayer with mods gets boring aswell. Would love to have "Spintires plus" kind of "mod" to the game aswell so one could try all the vehicles in actual maps instead of just limited "Proving Ground".
