Beating your own high score in Devil Daggers is one of the most satisfying feelings granted in a video game. The challenge and heart palpitations leading up to that sweet little *ding* are always worth it. Climbing the leaderboards is grueling, yet the intuitive replay system greatly assists players to learn from their own mistakes, as well as pick up some tricks from the top 100 players. The visual and aural design is on point, with the enemies being easily locatable by standing out against the black abyss, whilst emitting terrifyingly discernable noises.
Patience is a virtue, and death is your tutor.
