The PC version of this game is an unoptimised catastrophe.

The fact that’s so many people are having issues across a mixture of Intel/AMD CPUs and Nvidia/AMD GPUs and Giant have not put out any statements addressing these issues is atrocious.

I have gone from low to Ultra settings adjusting v-sync, shadow settings, tested with and without DLSS, and nothing stops the lagging (which is much worse in 1st person view than 3rd person view), or the random black glitches across the entire screen.

On the flip side, I have played FS25 on the PS5 and it runs perfectly, what the hell!?

Fun, and engaging story line so far, fun learning all the combos

As a player who has been playing the game series from X:BTF in 1999/2000 I have fallen in love with each new game in the series as it came (I pretend rebirth didn't happen...).

Compared to X2 and X3, X4 manages to make the universe seem more interactive, being able to walk around stations was something missing from the older games, the graphics are great, and Egosoft are amazing at producing content and patches years into the games life cycle SO I know it will get much love from the dev team.

If you are unsure, pick this up in a sale, but it will be worth it, all I can say though as with other games like Elite Dangerous, a HOTAS joystick like the Logitech X56 (I'm with the earlier Saitek x55 version) will make a huge difference to you enjoyment of the game!
