A game the player base is in control of steering the future of this game. Mods who work very closely with the community. I've been playing this since the classic days around 2003. Took a few breaks but ALWAYS come back. Love this game to death.

Oh boy... I started and completed the campaign, for me it was VERY lack luster. I've been a hardcore gears fan since the first one. I REALLY didn't care for the exploration. Totally side tracked a HUGE plot which they could of done a lot more with, it would thicken then just randomness. The deaths felt bland, very minimal emotion. They should of taken a note of Maria's or Dom's demise. That had me crying like a baby. Just not a lot of action the other games in the franchise brought. It seems they were more impressed with bragging about the environment. Which I will admit, its BEAUTIFUL. Tracking your feet through the snow seemed so realistic. But then again why can't i break something like a pot? The ending was just very cheap and ended so quickly I didn't know if I got robbed from the cliff hanger or minimal effort in the ending. Seemed like they weren't allowed to elaborate much of the story for the sake of the story and continuation of Gears franchise, almost like holding your breath. Just thinking for the next sentence, I'm just super.... underwhelmed. So many attributes from older games left out and very little thought for the old gears fans.

PVP: Played a Game... you might as well call the lancer the hammer of dawn. Gnasher fights don't seem to be accurate. That's all I really to say for PVP. I would IMAGINE this would all be patched and updated as time goes. So i'm fine with that. Just REALLY hung up again about the story still if you can't tell...

While I DO recommend this game, I do NOT recommend getting it here on Steam or on a PC let alone. I'm not able to complete it! After going through some run arounds just to get the audio to work (which a consumer should NOT be doing in the first place). I am currently at the blood trail part, and Max Payne gets STUCK, unable to jump which after multiple attempts trying to work around it i'm officially stuck there due to bugs in this PC port. Again amazing game, but recommend getting it on console!
