This is not a review really, Game is good, but this is a warning.

There is a huge chance you won't be able to play the game.

So after many tests:
Reinstalling game = Didn't work
Verify game cache = Didn't work.
Allow RelicCardinal.exe through Firewall = Didn't work
Allow BsSndRpt64 through Firewall = Didn't work
Allow WebClient.exe through Firewall = Didn't work
Disabling Firewall = Didn't work.
Disabling Antivirus = Didn't work.
Disabling Antivirus and Firewall = Didn't work.
Folder allowance through controlled access (reliccardinal) = Didn't work.
Using phone's wifi and network share to PC = Didn't work.

Further tests:
Pinging ports 3478, 5222, 8888 = Somewhat works. 3478 times out though.
I have port forwarded all these ports, still no response from 3478.

Contacting my ISP = Currently not working out. They cannot see any errors from their front. They have been actively trying to Follow up on my problems, but they cannot see any errors so they are just doing ambigious troubleshootings at this point. Latest is that they want me to try to ping to AOE4 IP, which I have no access to.
I mentioned that 3478 doesn't work to ping, but they see no issues on their end to why that would be 🤷‍♂️.
"

Contacted AOE support twice. They have shelved me twice and have no idea what is causing this issue.

The only thing that DOES work, is using Mobile data with Network sharing. That apparently works.

You may try to buy the game, but the second you have these issues, refund.

This is my personal opinion and should not discourage anyone from buying this game if they so desire.

I'll admit, I love Talisman. Talisman 4th is a brutal and unforgiving experience. Yet it is incredibly rewarding in the process. What gets me coming back to Talisman is when things go well, they go well. Yet you always have to be on your toes. If you are the slightest bit ahead, the rest of the players will eye over you like hungry dogs. And once the ending is revealed, it could be anyone's game.

This game however, seems to do its very best to reduce that experience to a frustrating mess. (Unlike the rest of the reviews, I am not targeting the oppressive die rolls.) It does its very best to mimick the phases of the game accurately, but where it fails is on more ambiguous and complex mechanics like spell casting (which is buggy) and card usages. Some cards refuses to work regardless how many times you read the text. Like yes, some cards only work in either Battle or Psychic combat, but when the game refuses to work even then, then we have a problem. The game also harbours many bugs that may be minor nuisance, to throw your game entirely or crash the game. I have had 3 recorded sessions of game crashes, and just now before this review my online mate crashed to desktop. I also dare you to enter the inner region with a Follower. I dare you. We have consistently had problems entering the Inner region, even if there is nothing that should legit stop you from doing so.

I would say that Talisman: DE would be a great learning tool, only for you to realize that a lot of the rules are never ever explained. I am not even going to bother saying anything, as there are simply too many to count. I can tell one that I recently got to know, that Dragon Scales stop you from entering the inner region. Nowhere in the game does it suggest that. Not even a fraction of a mention. You'd just have to own an read the Rulebook thoroughly or happen to have someone who know tell you.

The game is flawed to a frustrating level, and no matter how many bug reports you post the game will not be fixed. They are already working on too many projects and this game becoming free may as well sign it's continuous decay. I couldn't even count on my hand the times I have posted bug reports and from them being confirmed and the response is "I have forwarded this to the team. It will be fixed" only for it to never happen.

I love talisman, but for the love of god is this game a mess. Enjoy the physical board with proper house rules or go for Tabletop Simulator where you can even upload custom content via Strange Eons. Not this sad buggy game. I regretfully have to say we've had so many frustrating games that ended up due to a bug that we may as well stop there.

This is my personal opinion and should not discourage anyone from buying this game if they so desire.

So, how do I even start?

The top reviews, as glad as I am to admit, are not lying to you. They have cut a ton of content and features that old Battlefields had. RuiKichiro is on the top, I am not going to recite them in great length.

What is my opinion here?
Mixed.
I like the concept of having the portal to play maps and places from different "Battlefield Eras". I like the 2042 era world building. It's cool and neat. I like it so far.
I like that it is 8,99€ from being 60€ which is insanely overpriced for this cut content shovelware game, through that is not a valid review opinion in this case.

I am not going to say what I don't like. Because it's all in the top comment. In other words, the list of missing features is too much.

But what the heck, I will name some just in case:

No single-player story/campaign mode
No standard server browser
No manual leaning
No diving while swimming
No crouch sprinting
No squad wipe scoring
No naval maps
Less control customization options
Less UI customization options
No first person takedown animations

And many many more. It's actually insane how much content they got away with and STILL have 200.000 reviews. They banked on this game regardless. I hate it, I hate EA games so so much, yet here we are. They are still banking, whether you like it or not.

I am mixed, but I will ultimately leave a Not Recommend. The game sells itself as a Battlefield sequel with a ridiculously amount of cut content. At the price tag of 60€ compared to the older titles with a much cheaper price tag, it is insanely overpriced and they are robbing you out of your money for a battlefield with less content. That is unacceptable and this is quite likely one of the worst battlefields. Shameful, DICE and EA games. But EA is the real villain here.

But, for 8:99€ is it alright as a Battlefield Light Experience. I highly recommend to not go anywhere close to above that pricetag. It is not worth it. And ignore battle pass.

I think it was an okay experience. The monster functions dynamically rather than scripted events and the bunker locations are harrowing. The game is also rather procedurally generated which makes a slight replayability factor.

However, it falls hard on story, it's short and I don't feel that replaying it is worth it. Definitely one of the weaker Amnesia's and I much more prefer Soma or Amnesia: Rebirth (ignore the reviews.) which are arguably the better games of Frictional.

I will have to mention beforehand that I am definently biased for these fellows. Chaos dwarfs was the first WHF race I actually wanted to collect, only to figure out the hard way they have been discontinued for well over a decade or two at the time. This creates a bit of a hipster feeling in me that made me love them a lot. So if I praise them a lot, well you know why lol.

There is maybe not a race in TW:WH I was looking forward to more than Chaos dwarfs. And I am not displeased. I thought the campaign in realms of chaos was satisfying with a really cool final battle, I think their mechanics (and even borrowed ones) are fair and really creative and suitable for them. Like, using dark elves old slave system and expanding on it is a brilliant idea.

They have some unique details too like not using growth at all, but instead utilizing slaves as their form of expansion.

I think the community has been harsh on them and very unfair. Sure, the patch brought bugs as all dlc releases has been and the dlc is sure overpriced. No arguing that. The industry is getting more expensive and it shows with how they increase prices on pretty much everything. I mean, look at the latest start wars game starting at 69:99€. It's not CAs fault I believe. It's the industry.

I highly recommend this dlc if you dig the chaos dwarf lore and love their aesthetic and style. Getting 3 lord's is a fantastic number and should not be higher than that for the Chaos dwarfs. They should not be too out there in my book, chorfs should not take spotlights in the campaigns as they had very little presence In the lore.

I say get it if you want it. You likely won't regret it. I sure as heck didn't, I love the chorfs ans is probably my go to evil faction to play as now.

I haven't played enough to get a solid opinion, but:
The realms and race creator looks great!
The graphics and especially the UI design imo is a step in the right direction!
Much nicer tech tree.

But:
That performance is horrible. I don't know, it feels like it's just me but many others report the same. I have around 4% GPU usage but can reach 80% CPU on this app alone. It's really tanking my PC for some reason and I can run tw:wh3 mega modded fairly reasonably. And that game aint exactly optimized.

All I am doing now is reporting and trying to tweak as best as I can. If no fix after a patch or two, then it's a refund.

I cannot give a positive review on something I can not play safely. Sad, because it looks like great fun.

[[EDIT]]

Now after many updates, I can confirm it's good! Still machine heavy, but good :)

Ok, I think I have been holding off on this review for a long time.

A few questions before we proceed:

- Do you like anime?
if yes,
- Do you like visual noves?
if yes OR no,
- Do you like your expectations to be twisted and you suddently start loving a genre you had no idea was this good?
If yes,

What can I say? The Danganronpa series left a scar in my brain that cannot be returned. The sadest reality of the Danganronpa games is that there really aint no reason to replay them. They have zero replay value, but the game that you get is nothing short but a MASTERPIECE.
And I don't use that term lightly. It truly is a masterpiece. All 3 games in my opinion.

If you choose to proceed with buying the game and trying it from here, I apologise in advance. You WILL beg for more Danganronpa even after you've finished all 3 relevant games. The games, in my humble opinion, are THAT good. I found myself absorbed in Danganronpa and, given the nature of the series, got terrified of just googling the games. You DO NOT want to get spoiled. Absolutely under any circumstances. Once you start playing the series, you have thus born a new form of internet paranoia, the terror of getting Danganronpa spoilers.

The price is SUPER fair in my book. The game is so well crafted and the sequels are equal, if not even better, in quality and story. I absolutely adored the games and all the characters. Mostly all.
The jokes are great, even the naughty ones and the fanservice ones. I found myself bursting out laughing several times! The soundtrack is absolute Banger too! I absolutely urge you to play Danganronpa. I want you to suffer as bad as I am. I would slit the throat of a goat under the dark moon Morrslieb if I could bring the tiniest hint about a new Danganronpa game. A reboot of the series or whatever. Anything! The games are THAT good and it's almost like a formula you cannot fail on (get good detective mysteries and absolute wack characters and you're set basically).

Did I forget to mention to BUY Danganronpa and play the series?
That comes from someone who generally don't like Visual novels. This is in a league of it's own. As far as I am concerned, this game puts other Visual novels to a laughable shame.

Peace!

This is my personal opinion and should not discourage anyone from buying this game if they so desire.

Do you like Anime?
Do you like Turn-Based Combat?
Do you like Building relationships that affects the game in a meaningful way?
Do you like Simping for the hottest babes on the side in games?

Boy, do I have a game for you.
This has to be one of the best games I have played in recent time. This is the first game in the Shin Megami Tensei series I have played. If you intend to play this game and understand the universe and the personas and arcanas and whatnot on the get go, don't worry, it is not required. I still don't get it.

You follow a transfer student who finds himself in Inaba to live with his uncle, Reitaro Dojima, and your cousin, Nanko Dojima. From here on you will uncover strange things, meet people and try to solve a tricky murder case that actually DEMANDS you to pay attention. There are several endings to this game and how you figure out cases, build relations and the choices you make have direct influence in what endings you'll get.

Now, let's go to the simple pros and cons.

Pro's:
- A fantastic story that drag on for way longer than you expect. You may want it to end at some point, but once it ends you will feel empty inside. The story is actually really interesting and you might wanna have someone to discuss it with as you go. I had my girlfriend as my companion!
- Addicting music that you will hum in your spare time.
- A simple yet complex turn based combat that evolves as you build relations.
- Lovable characters. You will find some favourites, but you will like almost all of them. You will be interested in many more characters than you'll dislike them.
- Animated cutscenes that I found really charming. This game also has an excellent Anime too! Play this game, then watch it! It is great!
- The Voice Acting, in my opinion, is fantastic! One of the best cast I have ever heard in a videogame!

Con's:
- The relationship between Personas and your main character is confusing. Why get great when stats are tied to your personas? Why get multiple personas when you can work on a jack of all trades?
- Endgame personas are rather meaningless. Unlocking endgame personas through S-links are too difficult to fuse without googling tutorials.
- The endings can be really dodgy and you might miss a TON OF CONTENT if you made certain choices. Even if it all seems good. You might have missed hours worth of content if you made certain choices.

In my opinion, this game is a bloody masterpiece. I am geniuenly impressed with how much the developers likely enjoyed making this. It has so much content that will surprise you and you will be like "wait, didn't I finish this game?" but it keeps going, but you keep liking it. I cannot recommend this enough. I am suprised and in awe, this game is a masterpiece and I am curious to see what more Persona games has in offer.

Also,
Margaret is best girl. I've never felt so satisfied in a game in my bloody life.

This is my personal opinion and should not discourage anyone from buying this game if they so desire.

This game was gifted to me by my Girlfriend on my birthday. I naturally played through the entire thing at least once and now I am sharing my experience without spoiling. So I did not get too involved in the controvercy, but I have gotten the gist. Social justice warriors wanted to censor this game and "cancel" it. But devs said nope and moved on with it. It seems that for some reason got a huge amount of positive press for the game, because it seems a lot of reviewers got this game pretty much only because of the controvercy.

That aside, the game is... eh? I will explain a few details. This game is an "interract-with-everything/horror puzzle" game. This game demands you to interract with many details in the background not just once, and sometimes not just twice. The game has its fair share of tedium which makes it often a bit of a slog to go through. The story is convoluted and I feel that the game expected quite a lot from it's audience. Maybe it's a cultural thing, because I did not quite get a lot of what the horror was inspired of. This made the game quite boring to play through most of the time.
The game is not safe from bugs and glitches either. Not game breaking bugs though. There was a bug where the menu music carried over into the actual gameplay (just enter a new room and you're good.) I think one bug I couldn't see a spirit (Was a pixeled mess. I wonder if this was intended?). The sprint bar could be seen in the main menu after you save and quit. One bug was quite nasty, that if you save and quit before interracting with a specific dialogue and return to the save, the character is gone. This is ok, because it's at the start of an alternate story.
Last but not least, the game has a combat system. It's really bad. Like, I had nothing but complaints to it. Often you have to press "E" to engage a dialogue mid combat and throw something, and then press "Space" to attack at the perfect spot. The combat should have been scrapped entirely in my opinion. It is just that bad.
This has to be for my negatives of the game. And they are unfortiunantely dominating.

But, it's not all bad. The artstyle is great and has a lot of edge to it. I have seen an egg or two post reviews to complain about the ridiculous oversexualisation. Well, if you bought the game even though you could easily see the images, then why complain about it? The game was never shy about it. As for myself, I like a bit of edge and I am not shy about games like this. I'd like to think it can be silly great fun.
The different spirits wasn't too bad. A lot of the different spirits you come across tells its own story and I found myself liking some of them. Some of them even had me at the edge of the seat, awaiting a jumpscare or something. But no, the game is very short on jumpscares, much to my entertainment. I find that many jumpscary horror games can be borderline unplayable. I guess because I am a chicken and can only take so much!

Did I regret playing and beating this game? No. I actually didn't. Not because it was a gift from my GF, but because I actually sorta enjoyed my experience to an extent. Would I recommend this? No. I can't. The game has a lot of flaws, even tedious bugs and glitches. I would not blame anyone for sitting this game out. I think the game is even a bit overpriced for what it's worth.

If anyone wants, feel free to share your experience with me here. Have a good one!
