I have 1000+ hours in this game (it released on its own standalone launcher months ago, without the f2p element) and I can confidently say the negative reviews are SOLELY due to the F2P marketing mishap that they have since fixed. F2P now has access to 80% of the game, including the core elements. The limitations are in place to stop cheaters/RMTers from overrunning the game (since F2P players can't sell items, only buy).
There are multiple patches a week of new additions, balance changes, etc. They truly care and are constantly listening to feedback and hotfixing broken abilities or bugs. D
on't let the mixed review status stop you from at least trying the game.
