Neat.

I'm clearly writing this for the summer sale, now autumn sale, but this is a good co-op game.

The sudden surge of positive reviews are most likely because of Steam Awards. I'd say it's a good thing because this game definitely deserves a GOTY Award (Maybe Friend Award if you have something else in mind.)

But let's get few things out of the way first.

The PC port launch was bad.
Accelerated content release did not start until a week ago.
It might be smart to bring a friend or 3 to play for the full exprience. (Autumn sale makes it easier)
Compare to older titles, there are less content and less over the top weapon visual styles.
The controls may not be for everyone. So does the game itself.

Now the Pros?
Monster Hunter, a game where you hunt monsters.
Enough said.

Please, for the love of god keep a fair attitude before nailling a game into the ground.

Keep in mind that:
1. I do not recommend this game only because I do not recommend this game on the full price.
(Where's the informative option for player reviews, Valve?)
2. I'm focusing on the Co-op exprience than the Singleplayer one.
3. I have played the first open beta.

First, the most important question "is it fun?". Yes. It's dumb fun smashing mutants in the head with a giant Hammer with your friends and setting up traps to see them (both mutants and friends) slipping into their doom.
Second, the game itself works great because it's using the FOX engine and mechanics from MGSV:TPP, if you can run MGSV, you can run this game.
And hey, melee weapons works surprisingly well if you're like me who are into those kind of stuff.
Turns out no one liked it except for me, I never tried other melee weapons except hammer to be fair.

Does it has flaws? Absolutely.
The game is not very innovative if you compare any other zombie survival game, you grab stuff, you kill stuff, you try to stay alive, repeat.
Co-op should be open-world.
PC Port is a eh since you can't have advanced graphical settings.
Matchmaking system takes up as much time as MGO3.
And this should have really been a DLC for MGSV:TPP or MGO3.

Just don't pre-order, wait after a month or so, get it on sale.

The game has a big flaw, it gives you a very good exprience. But just when you want more, there's none because you already chew through 12 hours of content without you noticing.

So what you will lose in this purchase?

1. At least 12 hours for playing it
2. The hype you gain during your playthrough
3. 13.49 USD

That's all.

Yeah, go buy it.

A game which is above decent, could have been better.

Early Access Review
I'm not sure how much people have been through this game from "DeadZone" To "Unturned". Let me give you some facts about the history of the development of the game.

It all started from Roblox, Deadzone. A game developer named DeadzoneZackjack (Now known as Nelson) created a game that everyone loves that it went to the front page within a week. Things were going well, people played, Zack continued add more things. Until people started to flag his game for no reason, hacked the account and released the source code in public. Copied games were made and finally, Zack deleted his account and the original DeadZone is gone.

Before He did so, he started the same game from scratch on Unity, renamed his game Unturned. from web version V1, steam released V2, and now what we love and see, Unturned V3.

Nelson, a teenager who made the game alone, made himself a legend too.
