Corporate ineptitude and greed at its finest. Requesting refund, this is a scam and Valve should be ashamed they allow it to remain on the market, after breaking nearly every EA rule they have set in place.

This game will always be in Development, regardless of what the Devs try to control people seeing or saying on the forums. And slapping a 1.0 sticker on it and charging over double what the game is worth is an insult to injury. How this game has almost 90% positive reviews blows my mind.

In "development" for 10+ years, and the game is still a HORRIBLY un-optimized glitchy mess. No real game-play developments in the last 5 years, eg: past day 50 it becomes an insane grind to scrap door handles because apparently shell catchers are not a thing in this universe. To top everything off and my pc is brought to a 5fps powerpoint presentation during horde nights past night 50 when hosting a server. Not to mention the physics added to blocks is awful, slow, and downright vomit inducing with all the hitches while your pc will hopefully catch up on calculations before this unity sandbox crashes.

For reference, they still haven't optimized the game after 10 years, but after being "developed" for 5 years, they ported it to console and went for the cash grab, which was a dumpster fire because it did NOT run on consoles.

Save your money and watch someone play first. Or learn how to code and make it yourself, the right way, you'll end up with a better product, and sooner.

Pros -
.Fantastic game that I cannot get enough of.
.Nothing else compares to it or fills its void/adrenaline rushes.
.Better with friends/corp-mates!

Cons -
.CCP continues to throw switches at random, vastly changing gameplay for the worse, instead of creating more gameplay and cultivating existing paths that players can take or have generated on their own.
.You can pay for your subscription via in-game activity, but Pearl Abyss has made it so you have to either work a Job in real life to pay for the game, or treat EvE online as your job in order to pay for your account, so don't get fooled, its not realistic at all, even when using the most well paying activities per hour you would need to spend years training skills and then actively spend ~10-30hours grinding in order to pay for ONE month - PER CHARACTER - of subscription time. That is practically how long most people spend playing in a month. Which leaves you with two options, to just grind your day away and not have time to actually enjoy the game, or pay IRL $$ for game time.

TLDR: Not worth it at its current price

The re-bind option, for your keyboard controls at least, is currently broken and I cannot rebind keys when the "press a key" prompt comes up. This is incredibly frustrating as the default scheme does not work with mouse and keyboard setups.

Very good adaptation into the 3D, and evolution of the Risk of Rain series. Constant development, and new, or old (favorites from RoR1) content that's engaging and fun is being added to the game monthly, as of this review. On top of that, feedback from the community is taken positively and seriously by the whole team over at Hopoo... which is only reflected accurately by the consistent 96% positive reviews Risk of Rain 2 has been getting on steam.

10/10 THIS right here, is how you do games right.
