Instead of just making a bland launcher/landing-page for VR games, they made it a nice little environment with interactables and customization. Above and beyond, IMO.

Is it a proper "game"? Not really. But it's a far cry better than anything I was expecting.

Basically Left 4 Dead but in a medieval setting with fanatic zealots and humanoid rats instead of zombies. It iterates on the L4D model with a light class system, a moderate progression system, and some new special enemies.

If you liked L4D and found yourself wanting new missions/enemies/weapons to spice it up, this is a good route to take.

A welcome change of pace compared to other contemporary shooter games. Fallout takes a much more strategic approach to shooting and incorporates RPG elements to create a slower and more methodical gameplay loop.

It does suffer from the classic Bethesda bug problems, and being multiplayer unfortunately saddles it with the added burden of being un-moddable, but despite those elements, the ability to play with other people dramatically improves the playing experience enough to be worth overlooking the issues.

I would say the deciding factor is if you have other people you know that could/would play with you. I would recommend passing on this and sticking with older Fallout titles if you're looking for a purely single-player experience or don't know anyone that would join you, but if you have a friend/clan/etc. who could somewhat reliably play with you, it's well worth the effort.

Grim Dawn is an excellent ARPG that knows how to slow things down without making it boring. Many ARPGs on the market try to ramp up the excitement and difficulty simply by making everything move and attack really fast, but Grim Dawn takes a more strategic approach where repositioning mid-combat, drinking potions, and managing cooldowns actually play a vital role in combat.

It also includes a deep complexity for customization without being blatantly confusing like other ARPG skill trees. Rather than one massive tree to choose from, you have a number of smaller trees to specialize in and differing ways of earning the points for the trees.

Really my only gripe is that Hosting a multiplayer game seems to be a tad unstable - thus far my friends and I are averaging a crash every 45 minutes or so for whomever is hosting, but luckily the game is really good about saving progress so re-launching and re-hosting takes very little time with no progress lost.

Overall, it's a very enjoyable and methodical ARPG that will have me playing for a long time.

High quality Mini Golf game with good controls and plenty of maps. If you run out of maps, there's loads more on the Workshop, too.

A really nifty - if a little short - 3d platformer / speedrunner type game. It has great visual quality, and snappy mechanics that add a lot of fun elements to trying out different approaches to reaching the end of a level as fast as possible.

I enjoyed it thoroughly.

An up-to-4-man co-op shooter in the vein of Left 4 Dead and Payday. Instead of shooting zombies or robbing banks, though, you are a group of Space Dwarves who go underground to mine resources out of an alien bug infested planet.

There are multiple classes with unique playstyles and approaches to how to gather the resources and shoot the enemy, as well as several mission types to keep things fresh. Best of all is that they have a fantastic level generator that ensures there are familiar elements to the different subterranean biomes you encounter, but that every mission is unique. No two runs will be the same.

It really pains me to leave a negative review of this game. It has a lot of really great elements that, at its core, make for a really enjoyable 4x game.

But it's so buggy it's barely playable. Assets failing to load with black-boxes covering the screen. NullRef errors right and left. Sync errors with multiplayer that make the game hang when the turn ends. Things like that. They aren't exactly constant problems, but over the course of a ~120 turn game I expect to see at least 4 game-braking bugs interrupt the run and force me to reload an autosave.

A very unique take on mashing together multiple genres. Take Heavy Metal, a 3rd-person adventure/combo-fighter game like Devil May Cry, and a real-time-strategy game, mix it all together with a light sprinkle of badass racer games, and you've got Brutal Legend.

An excellent little arcade-feeling game. Great for passing the time for a few minutes here and there.
