Short but sweet, I'm a sucker for good atmospheres and this game nails it, no music just the wind howling around you as you climb, jump and explore massive structures.

A few points I wish were different:
- I wish the UI was more minimalistic, not really a fan of the huge orange circle and lines/text on the screen all the time.
- As some others mention, I wish the path you're supposed to take was less "obvious", there's a clear path to take but I feel like that's detrimental for this game, give me random places to go to, multiple paths to take, find some different things to scan and discover and I'll eventually find the path I'm supposed to follow as I go, that would be awesome. I want more places to explore!
- I'm not sure if the pause menu will be changed further into development, but I wish it was less bland, it's just a big box with some text and buttons in it. Nothing really important but just an afterthought.

Overall it was a great experience, looking forward to the full release.

Performance isn't the best but once you get past the initial open world zone it's not as bad.
The world is massive and has many zones to explore, unlike Dark Souls you won't feel forced to take down a boss in order to get stronger or progress, explore the world at your leisure!

The Good
Visuals
The visuals are Voxel based, which means that there's no textures and everything ends up looking like solid color blocks, but it looks very colorful and is pleasing to look at.

Music
The music is pretty good, nothing mind-blowing but it gives off the vibes that you're on an adventure and does a good job at it.
It could use some more tracks though, I think there is 1 track per biome which you can put on loop in the options.

Combat
The combat used to be better in the alpha, but it's still fun in the final release, the problem lies in the balancing, but I'll talk about that in the 'bad' section.

Each class has 2 specializations to choose from that changes your skills.
For example, as a mage you can be either a fire or water mage; fire mages are meant to deal high damage and water mages have healing properties.

There's not too much else to say about it, it controls fluidly so it feels good to play, but since there's some big balance issues with the game right now it's very much holding it back, combat typically does not last long enough to be satisfying.

The bad
Progression
Now this is the big one, the big oh no what the hell were they thinking one.

First of all, there are no levels, well yes but actually no; you don't level up like in any good ol' rpg game, instead you have to find the artifact of the region you are in by clearing a dungeon, and the artifact you gain at the end of it grants you a permanent level up.

But why is this so bad? Because you have to find an artifact to level up instead of gaining xp?

Well yes that's part of it, but that's not the worst of it, the worst part is that leveling up means nothing.
The only thing that leveling up grants you is a slight improvement in one of your exploration skills e.g. your gliding speed, swimming speed and so on, wow that's really worth it right?!

On top of all that mess, there's the fact that in this game, your gear is region-locked, this means that every single time you go into another region, your gear becomes completely worthless in that region and you have to start all over.

And by starting all over I literally mean all over again; because not only do you not get to use your gear in another region, you also have to find all of your exploration tools again such as the hang-glider and the boat.
Yep, every time you want to explore another region you'll be on another jolly walk for an hour until you get back your trusty hang-glider other tools, enjoy!

There's one more thing: "+" gear, sometimes you'll find gear that has a "+" on it, this means that this piece of gear can be used both in the region you are in and also in neighbouring regions, this is the only gear you'll find worth looking for because you can use it in the next region you go to and it'll help you find more "+" gear there so you can continue on with a good set of gear, but this makes for a very tedious and boring gear-grind before you can move on.

Balance
Balance in this game is nonexistent, either you get one shot or you one shot the enemy, there's no in-between.
Since progress is gear-based, you'll have to rely completely on luck to find something you can use and defeat stronger enemies with.

Gear drops are also not based on your current class, when an enemy drops gear, it's completely random, you can get gear for your current class, or be very unlucky and consistently get gear that you just can't use.
You find a legendary weapon for a warrior? Sweet! But oh wait.. you're not a warrior! Oh well.. that's useless. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

World
In the alpha version the world used to be randomly generated, and the map uncovers itself as you explore more and more.
However this has been drastically changed in the final release, instead of a randomly generated world, you now have 1 nearly "infinite" world that you can already view on the map whenever you please.

This is something that goes against the whole idea of exploration, if you can just open the map and see everything is to see, what reason do I have to bother going out there and explore? I already know what biomes are where and I can zoom in to see where villages are, buildings are and so on.

But honestly why even bother going to another region anyway, you're just starting from scratch and you gain absolutely nothing.
I could probably go on for some more but I'll stop here, there's more issues to this game such as the lack of a skill tree making your character not feel unique in any way etc but I'm tired of writing this review.

I hope this gives you an idea of what awaits you if you decide to purchase this mess, you also have the option of waiting out to see if this games changes into the right direction but I'll just be honest with you, do not expect this game to change anytime soon, maybe even forever, this is a dev that went radio-silent because he became depressed after his site got ddos'd after releasing the alpha FOR SIX YEARS.
