I was looking forward to playing this as I've heard a lot of good things about this game. Unfortunately, this game has bugs that make the game unplayable for me.

The game is locked at 30 fps and while there does seem to be ways to uncap the fps,it causes further problems as the fps is tied to the game speed. All the dialogue and environmental noises (footsteps etc.) are incredibly loud and can be heard clearly at any distance. So the game is just a constant mishmash of loud and constant footsteps with characters talking over each other. Again there are ways to fix the audio but none of these solutions has worked for me.

Seems like this game was a pretty bad port, I wouldn't recommend getting it on PC.

This is a game I owned previously on PS4 and if I'm honest I really didn't enjoy it on there. It was the first call of duty campaign I didn't finish because I got so bored. The multiplayer was just like a less aggressive Advanced warfare combined with BTEC Overwatch abilities which didn't amount to very much. To top it all off I just found the zombies convoluted and really uninteresting.

I've always been a big fan of zombies and have many hours on World at War custom maps. The downloads were a pain, so I got Black ops 3 to hopefully get rid of that issue. Getting the game on PC hasn't changed my feelings towards the campaign and multiplayer but it definitely has towards the zombies mode.

I only really play zombies and I think it's a blast especially with custom maps, some of which are better than Treyarch's maps in my opinion. A plus to there being workshop support is that this game will last many more years (and has done) than the more average Call of Duty game. So if you enjoy World at War custom maps or just enjoy zombies definitely get this game. Wait for a sale though, this game is very overpriced.

So in conclusion...

train go boom.

I guess a game to compare this to would be Mirrors Edge, although I would say this game is much shorter, easier and more fluid with its mechanics.

Gameplay-wise I thought it was really good, all of the different "gizmos" you acquire through the game make for some interesting combinations when trying to traverse the platforms and levels; although saying this I didn't think the combinations weren't used enough and most of the time you only needed to use one or two abilities at once.

The game was a visual treat, the lighting and the graphics were stunning, the caves being a standout area, which made it a joy to progress through.

The story and voice acting were fine, the narrator was probably the best out of the bunch. The ending feels like it comes out of nowhere and I found it pretty anticlimactic, but it didn't detract much from the rest of my experience.

Overall this is a very good-looking and easy to pick up game with a decent story. If you want to play through a very chilled out platformer in a couple of hours without much challenge, you should enjoy this.

(I know it's a thumbs up but I'd honestly rank it somewhere in the middle if steam allowed it)

In a review, I would usually start with the positives but I do have to stress some of the problems this game has.

Sometimes I can't get the game to start, it says it's already running. So when this happens; I have to go into task manager and manually end the background task that is running, even if I haven't booted up the game that day.

When I can start the game it's usually smooth sailing until I get into the game, the audio levels are broken. The gun sounds are slightly delayed and extremely quiet, whilst the music and NPC's speech is so loud the audio cracks. So to hear the gun noises I have to turn my audio up higher which just accentuates the already loud audio of the NPC's and speech.

During a few cutscenes, the FPS has dropped drastically, which makes them unwatchable. It slows my whole computer down and when I looked at task manager it was using 90% of my CPU and Memory? I don't have any issues running modern games. This game doesn't look bad by any means but I find it difficult to understand why it would run bad, especially during a pre-rendered cutscene.

The audio problem has been the biggest problem for me and looking online other players have faced this problem as well. It seems there isn't a fix at this moment in time? I do hope I'm wrong and have just missed the fix.

Apart from these issues, I have had a blast playing, I never really played that much of Reach back on the Xbox 360 but it's been really fun going through the campaign. I'm looking forward to the rest of the games and playing through the rest of this campaign. I just hope these problems are fixed eventually.

Obviously, this game is good, it's Halo. Just try to be aware of some of these issues before you pay for the game.

Out of all the DLC's for "We Happy Few" this was the one I was looking forward to the most and it didn't disappoint. Victoria Byng was one of the most interesting side characters in the main game with her forced withdrawal from Joy.

This DLC picks up directly after Victoria knocks out Ollie and runs off. She has to deal with the withdrawal from Joy and realises the town is falling apart, so she goes on a mission to stop the people of Wellington Wells taking their Joy. This DLC runs parallel to end of Ollie's campaign, it feels almost like a mini act 4 to the main game.

The player is equipped with the new weapon, Victoria's whip which can be used to fight enemies at short to medium range and more importantly to reach high places and to travel across the roofs in Wellington Wells. I liked these new mechanics, it changed up gameplay and emphasised stealth and sneaking past enemies (if you wanted to play that way). Cracking your whip against enemies faces was also a viable option.

The art and music were also very good. The town looked a lot more refined than the main game and graphically just better. The music was very distinct from the main game as well.

The only gripe I have is with the price, it's a very short DLC, so if you aren't desperate for more "We Happy Few" content, maybe wait for a sale as I did.

I do think this is the only DLC worth playing, it feels like another act from the main story and it's linked in all sorts of ways.

I didn't know what to expect from this DLC but it was a very strange and kooky experience.

In this DLC you play as Nick Lightbearer, who was featured in the main game of We Happy Few as Wellington Well's favourite musical artist. Nick has to cope with his fame and his "adoring fans".

The art in this game was fever dreamish, Nick is an avid use of Joy and other drugs, so throughout the game you experience lots of psychedelic visuals that are a treat to watch unfold. It takes the wacky and weird visuals from the base game and dials them up to 100.

The music and sound design for the main weapon you use (Nick's guitar) are also very good and all the different attacks are very distinct sounding.

Apart from visuals and sound design, I didn't really enjoy this DLC that much. It felt more like a weird tech demo, Nick isn't really that compelling of a character and the gameplay is more like an average first-person shooter (except with a guitar).

Like I said I didn't expect much from this DLC but subconsciously I was expecting it to resemble the themes and the style of the base game and it wasn't anything close to that. So maybe I expected the wrong thing from this DLC and that could have affected my opinion. I wouldn't personally recommend this DLC.

This was a very strange DLC for me and that's saying a lot coming from the base game. The story is about a robot attack on wellington wells, which Rodger and James have to stop. The story doesn't take itself to seriously which is a good thing with what games about.

The Art was very creative and had that kind of 80s sci-fi vibe about it and it looked really interesting overall. Props have to be given to the art team.

Gameplay-wise it stripped away all the crafting and survival elements from the initial game and it turned into a first-person shooter with some very light puzzles. I honestly didn't like this change and it felt like a watered-down version of Doom.

The character you play as is Rodger who goes on this wacky adventure with his boyfriend James. You'll remember these two characters as the annoying underlings of Dr Faraday, at least that's how I remembered them. I never really liked these characters in the initial game, so that has probably coloured my opinion somewhat.

I'd say give this DLC a miss, I don't it's worth its price and I don't think the story or main characters are nowhere near as good as the base game. I know this probably isn't supposed to be taken as seriously as the base game despite that I just didn't have that much fun with.

Before I played this game I hadn't heard too many good things about it but the setting and the premise appealed to me so I gave it a go. If I'm honest I'm very happy that I bought it, the characters, the world and the retro-futuristic style are all done superbly.

To boil it down this game is a first-person, open-world game with survival elements. The game features a very large world that is littered with secrets about the backstory, items and sidequests. There are multiple islands to explore and as the game progresses you will unlock access to different islands, some are in ruins with poor starving "wastrels" and others are rich and luxurious.

A big element of this game is conformity, so in certain areas, you have to act certain ways, this affects how you will traverse the map. The game revolves around the drug joy and in the luxurious areas you are "encouraged" to take it. Otherwise, people will be suspicious of you, so you have to act like you're on the drug if you don't take it.

The game has some survival elements, for example, sleep, dehydration and food. Something I like is that your character doesn't die if you don't keep on top of these, you will have stamina drawbacks etc. Combat and stealth are relatively simple but quite difficult seeing as your character lacks a lot of health, so avoiding fights might be the best call if you are not well equipped.

This game includes 3 campaigns for the 3 main characters. Arthur is the first one, he is pretty much the best all-round character and his playthrough took me the longest about 20hrs, the next two characters have drawbacks and abilities that make their individual campaigns different, they took about 10hrs each.

The voice acting for the main 3 characters is superb, as well as the character designs, they are all very distinct and stand out from each other. You come across many weird and kooky characters and they're all very memorable in their own rights.

I think this game is a must-have for anyone who enjoys open-world games with survival elements because this game features a lot that makes it very unique and very enjoyable. There is plenty of content to explore and plenty of hours of gameplay.

If I'm completely honest, I don't exactly get this game. From the voice over and the imagery, I don't know what any of it was trying to convey. It could be due to me or the game but I felt it was just too vague because I didn't understand what the narrator was talking about half the time. So I can't really comment on the story.

Gameplay-wise it's very simple, you walk around this island and that's about it, pretty much what you would expect from a walking simulator. One problem I had is the walking speed, it's excruciatingly slow and there is no run button, so I guess the game is going for a slow feel, just a bit too slow for me personally.

Visually the game looks very good, the environments look really well done and the cave sections are phenomenal to look at, they were the standout area for me.

Overall, I just didn't enjoy the game (not counting the visuals of course) but I just wasn't understanding it and it felt pretty bare-bones gameplay-wise. I know it's a walking sim but games like Firewatch, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and What remains of Edith Finch are much richer gameplay-wise despite being walking sims, I guess I wanted it to be a bit more like those games. The game took me an hour and a half, so take that as you will. I wouldn't recommend this game myself but if it has clicked with other people more than me, then good on them but it just wasn't for me.
