A short but sweet game, that seems to be the trend with Skipmore's stuff.

Kamiko's a very simplistic Zelda clone with a somewhat repetitive gameplay that has its own charm, and while extremely short, it helps itself by being quite replayable (thanks to achievements asking you for 1cc/no dmg) and having an in-game timer (also a total timer once you've finished the game), which I doubt I need to explain what it incites. It's basically just a perfect time killing game for when you have nothing else to do or don't wanna play anything too long.

The aesthetic and OST is where this game shines though, the Shinto-like design of the game is something really pretty to look at, and the OST really compliments the game well.

Overall, this game's something I've liked so far, but I can see why people don't really like it. Doesn't help that the price tag outside sales is a bit iffy for the ammount of time you'll spend playing this game if you don't end up replaying it tons of times. I'd recommend buying it on sale, because who knows, you could probably like it too.

So, it's yet another game by Lame Dimension!

The combat is kinda wonky and overall it's 25min, so as a standalone game it's not really that good, but while not as polished of an experience and way, way shorter than their other game, Super Ledgehop Double Laser, Quarter Game can stand on its own as a time-killing game that's still worth for the short price it's at. and it's an example of how Lame Dimension has been growing as a developer.

If you just saw this game while scrolling, I'd recommend giving a try to Ledgehop first. Then, if you get interested in what they have to offer, jump into the rabbit hole and join the wait for Hazuki Dies

Also, try to not go directly to the boss fight in stage 4, there's yet another easter egg before entering it.

Fully completed the game now, so here's my actual opinion

This game is actually a steal. I was expecting your average under 1€ gimmicky game, but actually got a pleasant surprise with a very fun to play game full of stupid likeable characters and a lil kid's bootleg OC added into the game which ended up being a cute little suprise and by far the best character of it.

If you have spare money, feel free to give it to the dev by purchasing this, and enjoy the wild ride that this game is.

Extra: By the way, don't forget to look very in depth on the extra room for a little suprise.

As much as I'd like to say I enjoyed this game... I really didn't.

While some of the bosses and concepts are cool, their execution falls flat or is really wonky at times, tho credit where credit is due, totally not Truth from FMA was a cool surprise. The idea of "One Hit One Kill" between both you and the boss is one hell of a cool idea, but there's a major problem that keeps it up from being enjoyable.

Everytime you die, you gotta walk back to the boss.

Comparing it to other trial and error games, they usually let you revive right on the stage you were at. This game uses a checkpoint system, which can be severely annoying if the way to the boss is far, or if by chance, you found a boss and missed the checkpoint... which severely hinders the experience by making most of your playtime be spent walking back to the boss you died to.

Back to the bosses, you usually need to use the boss' gimmick to your advantage to hit its weak spot, but sometimes, using that gimmick can be a bother, or even a pain in the butt. example: the lava slime. If we gotta give some more credit to the game, there are some pretty enjoyable bosses out there, such as the cube eye or the knight dude, but they're few, and far apart.

Is the game worth the full price for me? Not in the slightest. For you? Depends, really.

Despite the replayability thanks to the achievements, almost 15€ for a walking simulator with some bosses is kind of a waste, at least in my opinion. If you can, try to get it on a deal where it reaches 4 or 5€, or if it ever goes back to being free like it did when I got it, snatch it. It's a good time-killing game which I could recommend if some of these choices were fixed.
