This is a really good DLC. I love the new items and mechanic, it has filled up the game to feel like a more complete experience. It was already good and fun beforehand and with the introduced co-op it's a lot easier to enjoy with others which for me makes it worth a lot more.

Note: I didn't play in the start so I haven't felt the original Abyss map which I've heard was way harder.

One of THE best games of all times. The fundemental gameplay is rock solid, the polish of the mechanics is really good, and the performance is of any programmer's and gamer's dream! Learning the game takes some time and is gonna be hard. Luckily, that's the fun part! Because "fun" is a process, and routine is its destination.

All of this is gonna be near perfect when the expansion releases. It's already good now but it's gonna be so much better in a month. I really wish the release was a week earlier so I could play the game in my holiday.

Came for the gameplay, stayed for the commentators!

This game is such a small gold nugget. The gameplay is very good, especially early on with a very neat spin on the good ol' io games and tower defense with the simplistic and dynamic logistic. I haven't had any performance issues with my Ryzen 5600x yet, and I don't think since I've max seen 20% usage on any thread. The teleport upgrade will probably make sure it won't be an issue extremely long into a game.

I do wish the zombies had a stacking limit and would spread out across your walls instead of fundling down into a specific line. I'm not really a fan of having to rebuilt my walls constantly, and I've had a game reaching day 130 where I need to progress fast to avoid needing to replace 6+ walls every single day and stacking these wall chokepoints with 3-5 layers when I can in the worst cases just leave a single layer right next to it with minimal damage.

CS2 is a game

You see all the "AHH, movement bad now" reviews? Well, they're all wrong. It hasn't changed, the movement is just as "slow" as it was in the beta, and the gameplay is still top notch with some very good progression. You're literally unable to pay to get through progression. Luckily, you don't have to. I've been able to get a new toy (piece of equipment) every 5-10 games. And it's not something you have to think about. You just enjoy the game, play with your new toy, then get a new toy, play with that toy, and repeat.

Of course, there's cosmetics you can purchase for real money. But it doesn't affect stats and they don't really affect gameplay that much, if at all. And that's the only way they make money. I personally really hope people support this game by buying some cosmetics and just enjoy it. Not a lot is needed per person if many are supporting.

Don't let the review bomb detour you from other DLCs. This is a good DLC. I personally have always play Dwarfs, and I loved this DLC when it came out. The few bugs I encountered have been fixed since too. Price is fairly high tho but worse case, you can wait until it gets to 20€ or lower.
