One of the best idle game roguelikes I have experienced.

It's cute, and very addicting / enjoyable for the first few hours. It does suffer and get a bit boring afterwards, but the initial experience is well worth the asking price.

*Update: 100% Achievements Completed - Easy game to 100%
Tip: Skip Slammers and get bombers instead.

Linear games can be just as fun as open-world games!

+ Very straight forward, boss -> boss -> boss gameplay with various amounts of "exploration" to get various resources, spells, skills, to help you get over the next challenge.
+ Beautiful world and graphics
+ Amazing Bosses that are both challenging and thrilling which encourages you to keep progressing
+ The gameplay is great, it really focuses on timed-dodging and trying to dissect the enemies choreographed attacks.
+ Great soundtrack

- The story / dialogue is not great, often spoken in riddles / chinese folklore. It sounds "cool", but in reality there's not much in terms of story or character development.
- Time Commitment... For some people (like myself) not having the "time" to grind, and to face a boss dozens of times to clear is an issue. I could 100% understand why someone would use a cheat menu, especially after the early Snake Boss that many get stuck on.
- Not a big gripe, but the Digital Deluxe soundtrack does not play in the Steam Client (likely because they are FLAC files)

~ This IS a Dark Souls style game , I know many out there are looking forward to a great action-packed experience where you feel like an all-powerful god (Like God of War?) but this game is not that. You will die, and you will die A LOT. This can be frustrating, and it may be a waste of $60+ if you are not into souls-like games.

Early Access Review
Game of the year 2025?

Damn, this game is not the typical "Early Access" title you may think of...

For $30 you are getting a fully fleshed out campaign, and dozens of hours of enjoyable content.

Path of Exile 2 IS challenging, if you come from games like Diablo 4, Last Epoch, or Grim Dawn you are going to have a "skill check" in the early stages of Path of Exile 2

POE uses WASD (or a Controller) encouraging you to move and dodge roll throughout every boss encounter. Some people love this, some people hate it. I personally love the additional depth and challenge.

The graphics and environments are BEAUTIFUL AND ATMOSPHERIC, the gameplay is FUN AND ADDICTING, the story and voice acting is BRILLIANT..

So far I love everything about Path of Exile 2, and fully expect this is a game I can keep coming back to for at least a year.

----------------------------------------------

Note: It is important to remember this game IS challenging. I tried to get my wife to play with me (we played Diablo 4 together), but she was very discouraged and quit at the very start of Path of Exile 2. There is no difficulty settings.

Note 2: I've been playing as a Witch / Necromancer.

A+ Expansion
*Reminder, best played on Steam Deck or with a controller

The base game ($3 to $5) is excellent, 20+ hours of addictive achievement hunting rogue-like fun.
The Abyssal Terrors ($3-4) essentially doubles the content. 14 New Characters, a new map, and achievements for replaying ALL characters on the new map.

If you enjoyed the base game, and are an achievement hunter I HIGHLY recommend the expansion.

- Side Note: Most negative reviews appear to be of people complaining about difficulty 5 being too difficult on the new map... you do NOT have to play on difficulty 5 to get the achievements (you can play on ANY difficulty), people who are complaining need a reality check.

Are you looking for a Beat Saber alternative? Looking for something more active that raises your cardio?

Well Audio Trip is the game you are looking for.

Very challenging (even on Beginner) get's you moving all over the place, and once you get into it, the game is surprisingly fun. *Note: 2% of players have completed BEGINNER

The only downside is the music selection is not the greatest, but if you enjoy electronic dance music, you will certainly find something to enjoy.

Definitely a must have if you want a rhythm workout game. You will lose weight playing this everyday.

Edit* They have Gangnam Style in this game!

The memories....

Of being bored to death at home or at school trying to find free flash games to play...

If you are between the ages of 25-35, you have likely played this game before or have seen someone play it at school.

It's like "wow" this game still exists? And then you play it and think "wow, I can actually beat it this time and its pretty fun!" (the achievements are rather easy to 100%!)

Got it on humble bundle in the FLASHBACK CLASSICS GAME BUNDLE[www.humblebundle.com] for $5 which included 6 other games (including Super Fancy Pants, Epic Battle Fantasy, Worms, Super Meat Boy, and VVVVVV)

Inscryption is definitely a 10/10 especially if you enjoy card games like Slay The Spire

Inscyption is a bit of a mix of strategy, dark story telling, a little bit of adventure elements, and some great lore to dive into.

The game is challenging, almost "unfair" in a sense, but each time you lose you will end up discovering new things which will get you closer and closer to beating the final boss.

Once you do beat the boss a "new game" option opens up which changes the game entirely and gives you many more hours of content.

*Highly recommended on the Steam Deck!!

* If there's ever a sequel, I will definitely be buying it

While for $2.50 this DLC does add a good few hours of entertainment....

I am leaving a bad review as "Among Us" the characters, the weapons, the evolutions... really don't fit well with the base game or the overall universe. The evolved weapons are like a "haha that's funny" moment, but not very useful and not something I'd ever want to use again.

Overall, it's worth getting if you are a completionist and are craving content. Otherwise, I just felt like I was grinding for the sake of grinding...

Did you enjoy Diablo 3?
Were you disappointed in Diablo 4?

If you answered yes to either question above, you will almost certainly enjoy Last Epoch. First few hours into the game, and I absolutely love everything that I'm experiencing so far.

Update: Some time later... Wow this game is good!! Instead of focusing on "balancing" the developers focused on "what is fun?" I'm currently a lvl 30 necromancer who can summon 11+ Minions. I got a unique weapon drop early on which doubles the damage of my skeleton archers / mages, and allows this to leech life on hit so they essentially never die. My ENTIRE build and likely my entire playthrough will be based on around this unique weapon which to me is awesome. It gives me something to focus on, and I don't need to look up any build guides. Each level my minions get stronger and I can summon more.

Update 2: MUCH TIME LATER.... Absolutely love the game. Finished the main game with my Necromancer in Offline mode (incredible feature... I can play offline...seriously...it's great)

A week later, came back to the game and started a Rogue. Thought I was going to be an archer... but then I got a unique 2-handed hammer, and have been hammer stomping through the whole game and enjoying every minute AGAIN.

Ultimately Last Epoch to me is on the same level of fun as I had with Diablo 3. So much so, that you want to re-play the entire game over again with each class / character.

If you are a fan of Beat Saber and Power Metal, you will absolutely love Ragnarock

It is so much fun, definitely one of the top VR games out right now.

It's also note worthy that this is also a rather good workout, you will be moving your arms A LOT but having so much fun doing it that when you finally put down the conttroller your arms will melt into your bed.

- However just like beat saber i do not support the awful practice of charging full price for the game, and then having dozens of DLC costing $2 a song.
