Why not just let me play the game please

It is difficult to narrow down how this game can keep tension for such lengths of time. Despite it's old, crumbling paintwork, the game manages to do what similar games simply could not. In contrast to the stupid AI, instable engine, somwhat lacking visuals, cheeki breeki, and general clunkyness that the game gets stuck in, it manages to capture my attention every terrifying step of the way. Brush up the game with some mods, like the Call of Chernobyl, allow the game to not only survive in current times, but thrive.

Play this game. Although this game is not for everyone, it rewards the patient with vast entertainment.

Still my favourite Total War game. I can't put into words how much I adore it, so i'll just say; Buy it.

In a word - Meaty

This game has more meat than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ butcher. And that's a good thing, because slamming through a door and beating the populous to near death with your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hands is an incredible experience only allowed via a sound effect worthy of a batman TV show. The randomly generated terrain allows a fairly large amount of replayability, and the skill system is simple but fun. All in all a good experience. Will play again, IGN.

I actually bought the game the hour it was up on steam.

There were no refunds back then.

After a few years I returned to this game, interested in having a few hours of fun building and adventuring only to discover something strange.

This game sucks beyond words.

It's startling that I didn't have this kind of reaction when I first started playing, because it's palpable in the air how awful this game truly is. It runs poorly, plays poorly, looks poorly, and was developed by money-grubbing maniacs that are making random rash decisions that don't seem to have any real goal. Playing this game again made me feel terrible, because I'm sure that there are "additions" that will stay with this series forevermore.

Don't buy this game for any reason.

What can I even say about this game...

I love it with a passion, but I hate it with all of my being. There is bias, there is absolute trash penetration with certain tanks, the BR system is getting rediculous, the planes can be wonky, but I LOVE THE GAME. I want, no, NEED more players to play the game, expand it more and have fun, because half the players are alright, but the other half are some of the most cancerous humans that I have ever had the misfortune of playing with/against.

So yeah, play it.

I had to change my review. There was a time where I used to play this game every day, for a long while I'd be waiting through the day to play it.

But now it's just not fun. By forcing matchmaking they've accidentally removed the instant play that made this game so fun. These days I can't find a single full match, and when (if) I find a match, it's filled with people who are varied from gibus wearing m1+w's and Hales own australium snipers.

Meaning that the whole point of the system is moot.
