An interesting and fun game with the potential to be way better. Each ship is like a puzzle to break apart with out it blowing up, with enough quirks and considerations that need to be taken into account as you dismantle it. Even as you become more familiar with each ship there is usually still a quirk or two that will make you stop and think through the best process for the most salvage value.

I only hope the developers actually add new ships,

An easy recommendation to anyone who enjoys classic RTS games (with a touch of tower defence.) Plenty of levels through the campaign, bonus campaigns and the random map generator too

A pretty relaxing game for those who can get into it. Not overly complex but a pretty interesting game none the less. You dont even really need to be that interested in actual fishing either.

The core gameplay generally revolves around visiting lakes, fishing about, seeing what bites which in turn gives you information about that type of fish. You use this information to put together a more optimised lure as well as the best times and places to catch more of that fish to complete your records, make cash and maybe set a new largest fish record.

Theres a whole bunch of different lakes from the ones that are preexisting to the randomly generated ones you get to explore and discover a bit into the story.

This all comes together as you work through the various elements of the games campaign, side quests, contract board, leaderboards and tournaments (both off and online.) As you work through these you make money to buy new rods and boats to help you catch better and bigger fish.

The presentation might not be anything special and the mechanics aren't overly deep but the game can still feel pretty rewarding when it comes together. It might not be for everyone but for those who do get into it its a good timesink to unwind with.

Early Access Review
An amazing game with way more depth than it looks like on the surface.

From finding and making stupidly overpowered wands to the size of the over world with all of the secrets and enemies it hides. Absolutely rich in emergent gameplay moments with how the environment works and different materials and substances interact. Hard to fully explain just how crazy moments can get but well worth a shot for the curious, definitely one to keep an eye on.

A lovely game to relax to yet also has a decent layer of strategy and tact to its gameplay that can end up making time fly by as you hop from island to island

A game i almost missed on launch thinking it was an average platformer, instead it turned out to be an incredible atmospheric metroidvania with a heap of finese and charm. A good amount of playtime and challenge too for a solid price, a must for anyone who loves the genre.

One of the best ganes that never gets old no matter how hard it smashes the pixels of your ship into piles of scrap.
