There are two campaigns.
one you play as a non binary male.
the other you play as stronk womon.
Why did this need to be established? Because the developers want to be inclusive? Was someone threatened by antifa? was the mob gonna burn the devs house down if they didnt include precursors to a mentally ill sexual degeneracy?

its basically half life but made by the liberal arts college stereotype.
the game has it all, girls with shaved heads, guys with bright hair colors, non-gender conforming pronouns.
its so progressive yaaaaaaaas.
I remember at one point, wont spoil who or where, theres this literal who of the local populace, and theres a doctor who has been carrying the entire settlement. without him there would be no settlement.
Well she eventually berates and chastises him, and in a nutshell, screams patriarchy bad.
Even though he carries his weight and 75%+ of everyone else's.
yeah it was dumb.
it was near the ending, so im actually pretty miffed that the entire game led to a feminist tirade, the entire game builds up to... that

just replay half life from HL1 through HL2ep2.
Is it fun? a little. Is it so fun that it makes you forget how dumb the game actually is? NO, because every time you achieve immersion, some bit of lunacy is injected into the experience that had no business being there.
The gunplay is great, recon is a stupid maze with no way of knowing where you exactly are, and earhorn could stand to be less difficult.

Great game.
Unfortunately, the decision on whether you get banned or not lies solely in the hands of the players.
in their infinite wisdom, anything you say that they don't like will be construed as racism and if you get 10 or so reports you get automatically banned. Forever.
You can appeal it on their discord but you have to doxx yourself and give them your phone number if you want to enter ANY chat.
We are always told to stick up for others, so I said diversity is aimed at and encouraged in mainly white countries and its not a good thing, after i saw white people being talked down to.
Then banned after 10 seconds.
I used to live in Washington. Seattle is screwed, antifa are everywhere. Entire west coast has been ruined from what it was.
Valve is based in Bellevue, and if anyone's wondering why we never got half life 3, well now you know.
The people getting hired at valve weren't the people who supported the company and liked their products, in fact it was the opposite. They most likely didn't like the patriarchal oppressive tone that half life emitted, so they pushed for DOTA instead.
I spent a full minute deciding if i wanted to pay 30 or 15. I'm glad i went with 15, and I'm attempting refund because they don't deserve a dime.
A people have a right to live within their own group, but diversity is aimed at only one group. THAT is racist, NOT what i said.
Is this the future of gaming? having to pick from a pre-approved list of in-game sprays instead of uploading literally anything you want?

I have over 500 games, actual titles not just random indie crap churned out in a few months. I know how good it was and how much of my life i keep wasting hoping it will get better but it wont. Valve is turning into every other game company and i hate it.
edit: you dont get banned forever but its till dumb.

9.5/10 this game is great. the best feature is you can assume direct control of your units and make the game into an FPS.
its especially usefull for taking command of anti-tank units, and armored vehicles.
the two campaigns are great, the stealth missions are a little clunky but theyre do-able.
remember to save.

Major points for adding a campaign from the oppositions point of view.
now do it with ww2 plz :)

the developers are from canada. this explains why they went out of their way to put a blatant cuckold reference in their trailer.

Neoscavenger was fun, once you understand how it works.
not the same with this game, this game is terrible.
other people have gone itno better detail, just know that this is NOT neoscavenger!
the ONLY thing they share is asset-flipped icons and the inventory item pixel-art
thats it.
now, the game is broken, everyone knows it.
so what do the developers do?
they added character customization.
with pronouns.
developers are likely groomers. never buying from blue bottle games again.
im not even gonna buy neoscavenger 2. forget it!

TL;DR: DONT BUY METRO:EXODUS. IT IS TRASH.

This is one of those titles that proves videogames as an artform.
The plot is amazing, the side conversations add depth to the surroundings, and all the little details in each station tell a different story of what life would be like there. It's also always fun to find hidden content.

This is a story of damnation and redemption.
Its an epic of the most radiant good, and the darkest evil.
The entire metro is anxious, all whisper of uncertain rumors surrounding the contents of the doomsday bunker D6.
The only thing that is certain, is war.

In this installment, it is made canon that artyom condemns the entire race of dark ones to nuclear extermination;
except one.
Will artyom finish what he started? Or will he earn his, and all humanities, forgiveness?

The DLC is well worth the price, major huge dank chron props to the developers (WHO CLEARLY WERE FIRED AND DID NOT GET TO MAKE EXODUS ), for maintaining a careful, often downright impossible, balance between two political extremes. Also without excessively painting one as worse than the other.

You can defend the proud and glorious reich in the Front Line DLC, mowing down hordes of communists (rare these days)
You can also infiltrate the reich as the sneaky, subversive reds (not so rare) in the Sniper Team DLC. Featuring the VSK sniper rifle.
Theres a spartan training mission, where you collect supplies and resources for the underground, it gets progressively difficult.
They even have a mission for pavel and anna too!
Consider this where metro left off, they havent actually made a metro game after this. Some people say they did, but those peoples standards are low, and they let bad games get published because they'll buy it.
Look at star wars. It sucks because people bought in to the mediocrity.
Anything i forgot is just a bonus for you, now buy it!
AND DONT (EVER) BUY EXODUS. Trust me, just read the book, i wish i did that and never spent a dime on that waste of gigs.

Theres no traders. NONE.
They added vehicles, stupid. This isnt far cry.
They also added unreasonable demographics, and after artyom meets up with his ranger buddies it is complete cringe.
Only person with russian accent is miller, every single other person besides NPC's sounds like they've been playing baseball and eating apple pie since forever. HORRIBLE voice acting, and the character animations look like a pixar film. NO GOOD.
You get on a train, its basically opposite metro on the surface.
you go to a swamp.
you go to a mountain.
you go to a desert.
you finally find a clean place next to lake baikal, i think they are ending the artyom/russia storyline.
i think they are going to continue it in africa, india, mexico, or some other equally dumb setting. stop injecting your crap into beautiful things, 4A and Deep Silver
OH YEAH, i didn't read the book so im not sure if this should've been there but whats going on with the dark ones? they arent there and i was hoping they would be, instead i got

Time to complain, but my complaints come with logic and spoilers so watch out!
also, why the hell did they think adding an american who shows up out of nowhere was a good idea?
miller is always talking about spies, enemy occupation, and the war never ending.
so they decide having an american around wouldnt break operational security.
So Sam, the american, decides he want to go back to america. Miller doesnt say "No, you might tell the american high command about the situation here and they'll have an advantage"
Nope! He says "thanks for the help, good luck, bye my not-spy american friend."
THEN the american decides the best way to get back to america is to steal a nuclear submarine BY HIMSELF then navigate back to the american coast BY HIMSELF. Submarines are incredibly complex vehicles, and cannot be used properly with one man.

Its so stupid. Nobody reviewed the script for this and said "wtf this makes no sense at all"

Yes, lets take a steam engine on a journey of thousands of kilometres across a surface thats been bombed to hell. No way the tracks will ever be damaged at some point. Thats exactly how it is too. you go aaaaaallllllll the way to baikal and not a sinlge break in the railroad.
they mention how they send a smaller railcar ahead to scout for damage, but come on.
thats inefficient for the distance traveled.
the previous two games were believable but this is just garbage.
i liked some new mechanics but adding open world to a metro game was a terrible idea.
they tried to add features of other games that sold well, and tried being that those games.
what was the problem with the previous two games?

TL;DR: the game is good, you get planes and new guns. the loot system is screwed though, and the bad guys are actually the good guys

the cult were the good guys, ubisoyft just made them do drugs and attack other people.
the Branch Davidians (also known as the "waco cult") did nothing wrong.
The people who are supposed to protect and serve went to them, and then they collapsed the building on top of them, after filling the building with cyanide gas of course.
Then there was ruby ridge, the government attacked an innocent man and his family in the forest.
The government killed his wife and son.

Now the traitors in office who knowingly allow these things to go unpunished cower on the floor of the desecrated senate. They have good reason to be afraid, for they have betrayed those they were entrusted to protect! In many other ways than these!

All the DLC is bad. If you wanted to make good DLC, Ubigaysoft, you would have have made it possible to play as the cult and do an alternate ending that way.
But "muh isolationism" and "muh scary cult" made it so that didnt even register with the soy that is modern videogame design.
The only reason im recommending it is because of the planes, but i wont buy another assassins creed, far cry, splinter cell, nothing again. Unless Ubiverysoft makes something like this pro-america but forcibly ejecting actual political tyrants.
so im probably never buying ubisoft again.
