Before you say I didn't play the game that much, most of my hours are on the Xbox/MC Launcher version of Dungeons, not on Steam with nearly 200+.

I really want to give this a positive review but Mojang really dropped the ball with this game and I can only hope Minecraft Legends doesn't suffer the same fate as Minecraft Dungeons and Earth did via slow burn or abrupt uncontrollable circumstance and not wanting to stick out the storm.

The main reason I chose negative is that it took almost 2 years to get basic features like a simple storage system/chest to be added which meant we had to choose what to keep.
This compounds with the event/seasonal exclusive weapons/gear you could get (which at the time before they got added to the Tower in that update) were objectively worse in power level so they were just a status symbol to show off to the tiny playerbase that you were there that was useless on the higher tier apocalypse difficulties. Not helping is that one of them being the corrupted pumpkin is still unobtainable because they didn't add artifacts to the tower despite their being in the steam and MC feedback site. Many request for QOL features fell on deaf ears for cutesy corp speak and additions that add little or are cosmetic instead of addressing problems like needless bloat and clutter (such as consolidating the reskinned gear into being a toggle instead of separate items entirely being one example of a missed opportunity).
The big elephant in the room is the one they neglected and gave a outright no to when asked to add; modding support or at least Steam workshop support.
Half the fun of being on Steam is the workshop and the fact they opted out of allowing you to mod more easily and safely by downloading mods through the workshop which is built in and instead just said no and offered no way speaks volumes to their attitude on modding outside of the Java edition which I'm convinced they only keep around to keep the Java devs employed and quell discourse because I'm sure they'd want Minecoin integration similar to what they did with Legends.

Workshop/modding support could have added a infinite content and extended the life of dungeons but instead Mojang opted to release a season pass system for this game, only released 3, then missed not only the winter event, but the games anniversary, didn't say or make a blog post about its birthday, then proceed to boast their player numbers of 25+M players in dungeons despite most of those being gamepass buyers who tried it and NOT concurrent players who return and then cut support/sunsetted the game about a week ago.

No goodbye, no fanfare, no final event, no cosmetic crossover/carryover for what you bought in MC Dungeons from the seasons passes/challenges like with Minecraft earth to keep as keepsakes like emotes, capes, or pets, no more events; its finished, over. The bare minimum they're doing now is just having a tower level be procedural generated off of present pre-sets every week while keeping purchase servers up for your cosmetics; that's it.

TLDR; If you're thinking of buying this game for long term content or playing with friends, don't bother. The games officially over/discontinued and no more DLC or content is being made/updated. They did quite a poor job of marketing this game as well as their other Minecraft spinoffs or published games such as Minecraft Story mode, Earth, Scrolls(Callers Bane), Cobalt, and now Legends.

Don't bother getting this game unless you REALLY like dungeon crawlers and even then there's much better than this game that are actually actively being updated. Legends sadly might follow the same fate as Dungeons if Mojang's actions with their past games are repeated.

I have no idea what this DLC does even after installing it. The files empty but it has a cute key artwork at least.

If you're going to play this, do yourself a favor and play it with a friend. Before I upgraded my computer, I had a craptop. Playing the game on that was a nightmare as I wasn't only fighting the enemy but my own teammates just to remain unkicked because my framerate was bad. Now it seems the games more plagued with cheaters but if you're prime and don't touch deathmatch and wingman, you should be fine. I had to stop speaking on the mic because people either don't focus on the game, make sexist comments, trash on each other or me, or just mute before the warmup/pistol round starts. Don't solo-queue, its a recipe for a bad time.

If you have a friend(s) to play with and protect you from unwarranted kicks, you'll have a good time, otherwise, just play deathmatch or don't bother playing as everyone will be in for a bad time. Hopefully the cheaters will be addressed soon.

While this game used to be a trend setter of the class/hero based shooter genre paving the road for more to come with great characters and game play. I cannot recommend this game in its current (and honestly prior) state as its a husk of its former self being infested with cheaters. Most of my playtime comes from pre-Gun Mettle update as I stopped playing cold turkey after the Blue Moon update put in the nail on the coffin for casual and competitive and Jungle Inferno unleashed yet more bots.

If you've played this for more than 5 minutes, you'll know there's cheating bots not only bloating the games servers but also just making it nearly impossible to play this without going on community servers. If you're not in the NA or EU regions, good luck finding a community server with bearable ping or not faking their player count. That's without mentioning the problem of toxic gate-keeping players still auto kicking and trying to uphold blacklists on "bad players" on MVM. Just play with a full friend group if you're going to play MVM to avoid unwarranted kicks.

This game used to be good but if they can't be bothered to maintain there game and care enough to ban cheaters, why should you care enough to play and waste your precious time and money on an experience equivalent to acting as someone's boosting punching bag while you have no fun at all?

Avoid this game until they either fix it or abandon it (more than they already have mind you if not pull the plug altogether).

Edit: So they fixed the bot problem, though I've run into some bots on harvest in the last few games they aren't nearly as bad as before. I'm still not giving this a positive review as it feels like its on life support and this might happen again. Who knows if this time Valve can scare the cheaters into submission again.
