It really pains me to leave a negative review of this game, but this last patch has proven to me that this game will be in a weird mix of constant change and stagnation for the foreseeable future.

This game is a glorified public beta test. The fact that the game released in the state that it did is laughable, but even putting aside crashes, the state the game is in now is practically criminal. Every patch seems to introduce more and more bugs, with an ever-growing list of known issues on the patch notes. For every bug that's fixed, one or two more take its place. The bug causing the mere presence of a PS5 player in a lobby massively buffing most weapons most notably against tanky enemies was fixed. That's cool; A bit late though. Oh, what's that? The new ship modules are bugged and like 2 of the 5 or so just don't work? ♥♥♥♥ me I guess. Sickle can finally shoot through foliage? Plasma Punisher shots now instantly detonate when you wear a Shield Generator or are standing anywhere inside a Shield Emplacement causing enormous self damage. It's just so... tiring. I wait and wait and wait only to watch as the developers embarrass themselves further and I feel more embarrassed for buying into this game anything short of a year after launch.

Now comes the balance changes. This is another front that makes this game feel like it's in early access. The devs just cannot for the life of themselves commit to a design or even think of reasonable justifications for their changes. "Slugger was nerfed because it was better at sniping than the actual sniper rifles!" and so they decided to... make it only good at precision fire? Nerfing the damage is annoying but the stagger? That's what makes it a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shotgun. Why not give it more damage falloff or something if you want it to be focused at short to medium range? This just makes it less safe to use at short range and forces you to play at longer ranges. "We want Explosive Crossbow to be more focused on single target medium enemy picks!" But it's an AOE weapon??? Why would you give us an AOE weapon, nerf but not outright remove the AOE, and then say "Yeah use it for single target."??? We have so many medium armor pen single target pick primaries already; What the ♥♥♥♥ are you doing man??? We needed more AOE options.

As for Eruptor, my favorite primary, after a few short sessions with it post nerf, I was mostly of the camp that it was a fairly reasonable change. The aoe falloff nerf didn't really feel too bad at first, but I slowly began to notice it more and more as I kept playing. Now I am constantly frustrated due to mere chaff just walking out of my blast radius completely unfazed. It can even fail to kill a scavenger almost right on top of the origin point of the blast. I still like the weapon, but it's become so frustrating and inconsistent.

This game's balancing feels like it's rapidly devolving into a sort of flavor of the month ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ where anything genuinely good and fun only lasts for so long before the thing gets nerfed or "reworked" to handle juuuuust ♥♥♥♥♥♥ enough that I can't call it an entirely different weapon (except for ExBow lmfao), but it just doesn't provide me anywhere close to the enjoyment I had with it before. It's tiring to keep up with this. I want to be able to just take my time and enjoy the game, but with the unfathomably unpredictable way balancing is handled here, I wind up feeling the need to play with specific items that I enjoy as much as I can out of fear that the devs will nerf it to being too frustrating to enjoy soon. I really think I'd rather just quit and play something else than deal with this constant pressure.

It's especially frustrating considering that I buy these warbonds under the impression that I'm buying say a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AOE focused Crossbow or DMR that hits like a freight train with some respectable splash damage. Having that changed so drastically soon after release feels unfathomably scummy considering you have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pay premium currency for it and I'm shocked this isn't talked about more. Ah, yeah, probably because "You can get the currency by just playing the game!". Mhm, yeah, tell that to people who have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ life and job and can't play this game 24/7. You collect this premium currency at a VERY slow rate. Only people who play this game like 5+ hours a day will reasonably be able to maintain getting 1000 SC per month and that's not even taking into account the superstore's armor sets you can also spend SC on. It's not exactly a Korean MMO or gacha game, but it's still not remotely reasonable to market the game this way.

Overall, this game is nowhere near ready. Hold off on buying for at least another year. At the rate things are moving, we're a long, LONG way from the game being remotely stable, both in terms of actual functionality and the state of balancing. As much as I enjoyed my time with this game, I'm at a point where I genuinely regret spending my money on this game.

This game looks like it could wind up being fun but I think the way enemy respawn was implemented is too much of a turn off for me. Enemies respawn on a timer which means I am no longer allowed to take my time at all if I want my resources to be used efficiently. I tend to get spooked pretty easily by horror games so I really want to be able to take my time when moving through these types of games and being actively punished for doing so is just a recipe for a refund. I understand why respawning enemies is in survival horror and I do not think the concept as a whole is bad, I just think they should respawn based on my progress in the game rather than a mere timer. If you can tolerate this kind of mechanic, maybe this game will be good for you. It does not work for me.

Despite being the embodiment of the concept of "grindfest" I actually think this game is really good for an MMO. Unlike many MMOs that lure you in only to hit you with a grindfest, in this game you're literally playing because of it. This game doesn't remotely try to hide the grind and if anything embraces it and makes that its selling point. It's just fun seeing numbers go up sometimes, isn't it? I certainly like being able to do that when I really just feel like watching YouTube.

The quests are also pretty good. A lot of quests aged a bit poorly in terms of gameplay with many just being your generic fetch quests (granted the early game quests benefit from this because they're meant to teach you basic mechanics), but it seems like the devs eventually just said "Why the ♥♥♥♥ are we bothering to make fetch quests when that's literally the entire game already?" and now they seem to usually just add quests with neat puzzles and stuff involved.

If you're wondering whether to invest your time in OSRS or this, please do not listen to people blinded by nostalgia in immediately assuming OSRS is better. I am NOT saying RS3 (this game) is better; I am saying just keep an open mind. I'll list some pros and cons of this game, sometimes comparing to OSRS:

Pros
------
-Insane amount of QoL compared to OSRS (ore/log boxes, metal bank for easier mining depo, etc)
-Dungeoneering(?) (I'm actually not 100% sure if this is RS3 exclusive but still I love this part of the game)
-RuneSpan's mere existence (thank GOD I don't have to do classic runecrafting methods)
-Many reworked quests

Neutral/More Subjective
---------------------------
-Visuals: I think the new visuals are neat but I do find myself missing the look of OSRS. I can understand if people prefer OSRS over this. (The game can get a bit cluttered at times in RS3)
-EXP boosting methods: This part I still don't know how I feel about... On one hand it's nice to not have to spend so long farming (especially being able to just skip the more boring early parts of a skill) but on the other hand this game is literally just farming. It's kinda like just... getting a reward that just lets you skip the game. Some people may be put off by this and I definitely get that.
-Reworked Combat: I heard that the Evolution of Combat update was EXTREMELY controversial and stuff, but personally I like this combat. I don't need to engage with the ability system but frankly it's fun to sometimes make use of it. The AoE abilities are pretty useful too. I heard that the depth of OSRS' combat is mostly in positioning and stuff and though it may be unreasonable to make a comment like this regarding a game I haven't played much, I'm not sure if I trust a game running on stuff from 2001 to be reliably responsive with movement mechanics... I think I'll take ability optimization over that tbh.

Cons
------
-Monetization:Yeah... there's lootboxes and they give an advantage. Thankfully it's not like other people levelling up faster by paying money actually effects me so I don't really mind it much but it does exist. Any rewards that don't involve faster exp that you would get from opening treasure hunter chests would probably be easier to get consistently via just playing the game tbh. There are also lots of cosmetics you can only buy with real money. Unfortunately, paying for monthly memberships nets you a loyalty currency that does actually offer non-negligible buffs to more than just exp gain...
-Really unintuitive friend system: I don't really get how they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ this one up. I mean, friends lists are pretty much fully fleshed out across all mediums. It's not that hard to do, and yet I cannot even fathom how this one is supposed to work. Even if I did understand, I'm willing to bet I'd still be mad at how unnecessarily complex it likely is. The Clan system seems equally weird but I'm not sure I've never tried joining a clan...
-The wiki editors have brain damage: Can someone please explain to me why drop rates are written like "50,000/1,000,000" or even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "3 × ~1,869/22,140"? Like... how the hell am I supposed to understand this? No sane person just instantly knows what "3 × ~1,869/22,140" is meant to convey. They WILL plug that into a calculator (if they haven't already gotten so disgusted that they just closed the tab). Why even write something like that when you've already given it the "rough estimate" tag that is a grave (~)? At that point there is literally no reason not to just write it as a percentage. I'm willing to bet my left nut that a vast majority of people who visit the wiki are looking for quick information and are perfectly happy to be reading estimates rather than these completely unreadable Calculus 3 exam questions.

Overall, this is a pretty fun game. If you do not have a 2nd monitor then maybe steer clear for now though. Watching Youtube in a small 1/6th size corner of your screen is not a pleasant experience...

This is a very hard sell. I'm 10.7 hours in and despite actually enjoying quite a bit of the game, I'm actually about to drop the game. I will at the very least take a break for a bit. Maybe I'll finish it soon or something idk.

The core gameplay of Atomic Heart is stellar. I love the gunplay and combat in general. All my attacks feel meaty and hard hitting. I think some things could improve on that front though. Though the sound design and viewmodel animations are great, a lot of enemies don't really react in ways that feel like I just shot them point blank with a whole ass shotgun. The basic humanoid enemy does... a backflip? Why a backflip in response to a point blank shotgun blast to the skull? That bastard's head should have been sent to the 9th circle of hell. The general gore isn't enough. I know its robots I'm fighting but I still think they should really be able to be blasted apart. The flesh people seem to only be able to get their limbs and head dismembered and that's it. You can't even crush the skull post-kill. It's like they put in effort to try and make that gore part good but it hits that uncanny valley spot where it's just not good enough that I'd notice the issue more than if I literally couldn't dismember corpses at all.

The puzzles tend to be pretty good too. Aside from the early laser lock puzzles (the early ones usually requiring at most 2 very obvious button presses to complete) a fair amount of the puzzles make me actually use my brain. The game does a good job naturally communicating upcoming new mechanics without needing a tutorial popup textbox to tell me everything in unnecessarily specific detail. Most of the time... That one "cool down the heaters" puzzle in the first dungeon was extremely finicky and though I did eventually figure out why the damn ball wouldn't stay magnetized to my hand, it really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucked and I think that the magnet tool just isn't as responsive as I think it should be. Sometimes I just need to tap F to magnet an item, sometimes I gotta hold it down to initiate it.

I think the inventory limit is a detriment to this game. If it's needed to "balance" the game then I think tweaking enemy drops to accommodate an infinite inventory would be best because I think this game would GREATLY benefit from an unlimited, active arsenal on the player. Being able to swap between weapons like Doom Eternal is really fun and limiting the amount of weapons I can hold at once really sucks. I'd love to be able to kind of do some kinda weapon swapping ♥♥♥♥ to completely unload on a robot.

Now for the not so nitpicky ♥♥♥♥. The reason I'm actually almost dropping the game. This game constantly does almost everything I hate about modern AAA gaming known to man. Having to follow slow NPCs, non-stop banter between characters (This time it's the protag and his omnipresent companion! This surely isn't a recipe for disaster!), dragged out fetch quests, constant jumping from quest marker to quest marker due to the constant cycle of "oh no I don't have the thingymajig to unlock the whatchyamacallit! guess I have to go here now!" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I genuinely think these issues were intentionally put into the game just to ♥♥♥♥ with people. I'm pretty sure like 50% of the voiced dialogue in this game is the protagonist himself complaining about all this tedious ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I have to do. It honestly feels so condescending in a way. Making jokes about how bad your gameplay is isn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny. It's annoying. I don't want to play this. Meta humor is not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuse for bad game design. ♥♥♥♥ that trend.

Another issue is this game is REALLY bad at communicating when a "chapter" has finished. At 10.7 hours in, I've gotten to the part where I have to start reassembling Claire and I feel like I'm still in the first dungeon. Logically this is probably the 2nd dungeon by now or whatever, but the presentation makes it really REALLY unclear. The big bossfight for some reason came after the scene that could reasonably convey the end of a chapter, and the design of the current area I'm in isn't different enough from the first interior area besides looking a little less wrecked I guess? It's not even an issue of it looking bad or generic. It's just that it's not communicating that I'm in a different part of the game which is surprisingly important for pacing. Not only that but when I was going through the first dungeon, I remember thinking to myself partway through "Ok I've been here pretty long now. I'm probably near the end of the dungeon and am about to fight a boss." only to find out I've basically only just started once I got to the "go get 4 canisters to revive this tree" segment. Pacing is a really big issue so far.

Overall I REALLY want to like this game, but I have to fight for my damn life to get any enjoyment out of it. It's got some amazing core gameplay, but it's heavily bogged down by severe pacing issues and an obscene amount of everything I hate about modern gaming. If I do wind up finishing the game then I might change this review, but so far it's with a heavy heart that I advise you to steer clear of this game for now. Do keep an eye on this though. The devs know how to make a good game. I can only imagine what made them feel the need to ruin it with dumb and easily avoidable ♥♥♥♥. Maybe the DLC will be a significant enough improvement to warrant giving it a try, but paid DLC just to actually enjoy a game you already paid $60 for is just a really hard sell (and unfortunately VERY common now).

Very fun bite sized game. I completed it in around 4 or so hours and some was from me playing the April Fools update. The gameplay is super tightly designed and I only have like 1 issue that comes to mind which is the levels with press machines that slam and raise on a timer. They only add unnecessary waiting imo and it kills the pace of an otherwise perfectly paced game for a bit. Is it worth $15? Ehhh maybe. The game is admittedly very short and it goes on sale often, but the gameplay is super fun and it's very replayable if you're the kind of person who likes perfecting their runs. I'd say you're fine buying it for $15 it's pretty worth not to mention there's an upcoming content update (free DLC and god I wish we didn't normalize the existence of DLC by replacing content updates with that word). I will, however, remind you that there is never any shame in waiting for a sale no matter what game.

P.S: The receptionist interactions are adorable.

Disclaimer: Don't buy at full price. This game feels more like a $15 game rather than $30. The game goes on sale fairly often from what I can tell so just be a bit patient.

It's a fun game, but I struggled to stay interested due to bad early game pacing and grind. The game requires an unbelievable amount of farming just to gain access to new weapons. The level requirements and honestly awful "assignment" system lead to the player being merely dripfed new toys to play with early on. Cheating in the unlocks would likely just leads to the cost of upgrading being super overwhelming as well.

The overclocks aren't much better either. Promoting a dwarf for the first time is fairly tedious for a new player (mainly just because something is locked behind it otherwise it's purely fluff) but even after unlocking the system, you are dripfed new overclocks arguably even slower than weapons themselves due to a mixture of timegating and large amount of boring mods that only change some numbers and feel like filler. Getting new mods is also a roulette. Not only do you have very little say in what mods you get, but you also might just get a cosmetic instead of something tangible. Also back on topic of timegating: Why the HELL is a one time purchase game using TIMEGATING? Why is this being treated like a subscription based MMO? There is no reason this should be in place. Do steam charts numbers matter THAT much to the devs?

Anyways, those issues aside I really do enjoy the game. Once you have access to many weapons and overclocks, the game is a blast to play with friends. The gameplay loop is good and it's designed to encourage a balanced team. Going 4 player dittos of one class is usually gonna feel like ♥♥♥♥ especially at higher levels. Unless you're playing Haz 5 or Deepdives the game is lenient enough to allow gimmicky builds while not being piss easy.

Modding support is also a huge boon to the game. Originally I was skeptical when they first announced it as I was under the impression that there would mostly be offline only mods that barred progression, but Ghost Ship Games have been very lenient with how they handle allowing mods to be used without barring progression.

As for content updates and longevity... It's nothing special. Don't get me wrong, the updates do add things, but it's a bit less than I'd hope for. I took a long break after burning out from the slow progression and wound up skipping Season 2, but I returned around halfway through Plaguefall and having taken a look at the content they added in Season 3... It's okay. There are new cosmetics but I want to focus on more tangible content. In terms of that, it seems like Season 3 added some new secondary objectives and enemy types exclusive to said secondary objective. That aside... there's not really much else. Maybe they added a new weapon or two or some overclocks but as I said those have issues of their own. I know this is an indie studio or something but I don't really care. Issues are issues. My spare time is not infinite.

Overall I'd give the game a 7.5/10. There is plenty of fun to be had although the game is not great at expressing this to newer players. You would honestly be better off save editing in unlocks (although I will of course not be giving any hints as to how but it is possible and I don't think the game seems to care) as the only thing separating you from those weapons and overclocks is time. The generally small size of major updates leads me to say that this is probably more of a risk to buy than is worth paying at full price. If you don't find the core gameplay fun and replayable, you probably won't be playing this long even with updates. Additionally the game is infinitely more fun with friends. You may find yourself struggling to enjoy it if all you play is solo or pubs. Do not allow yourself to succumb to the grind. Pace yourself and play purely to have fun, regardless of how much the game tries to make you farm. Games are for fun, not for busywork so don't feel guilty if you feel compelled to... bypass the grind.

First of all, don't buy the game at $60. Wait for a sale, this game drops to $30 pretty often.

This game is pretty fun. Nowadays it's very functional. Hell I originally played on a GTX 1060 6gb and managed to squeeze out a smooth 48 fps on generally low settings, so take that as you will (I've since gotten a big GPU upgrade). I did burn out and didn't finish the main story and I probably will once the DLC is close to release.

The writing is pretty damn good. Story quests range from okay to REALLY good, but usually it's somewhere in between. You can rest assured it's much better than anything you've gotten from Bethesda in recent times.

The gunplay feels great although I do have to admit the hitreg feels fairly off. It's shockingly hard to hit headshots and feels like my bullets just phase through the enemies at times, although this usually only happens in firefights and when I use stealth the issue is far less prevalent.

Normally I find myself struggling to enjoy hacking and lockpicking minigames (though this is admittedly likely caused by me only ever encountering them in Bethesda games and I think a Judgment game had a lockpicking thing) but this game found a nice balance for its hacking system. The puzzles themselves are fairly fun even when done repeatedly and they're designed in a way that makes putting actual effort into completing them optional but rewarding. Please remember to upgrade your OS or whatever the brain cybermod is because that will allow you to complete higher level ones.

As for issues... I really don't like the leveling system. A fair amount of the upgrades you can get feel too insignificant. Niche boosts are fine, but it's almost always just some number growing a bit. The crafting system is utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ too though this is mostly due to the leveling system. It's very easy to find yourself with a plethora of legendary recipes and no way to make them because it takes a frankly absurd amount of investment in engineering to even be able to level your crafting high enough to make legendary items. You're honestly better off scavenging for good weapons which is a shame because some of the craftable ones can be really neat.

The music is decent, although I never found myself liking any of the radio music. This is very likely just my personal taste in music although they all sounded samey. It felt like the selection wasn't varied enough and I wish not every song sounded like someone is just unleashing the fury of a dozen suns upon their microphone regardless of how fitting that is in this game's setting.

The game's graphics are okay, but the game makes heavy use of horribly implemented Temporal Anti-Aliasing (TAA) to mask a lot of graphical shortcomings. I found a mod to disable the TAA and found that the game somehow looked even worse without it. Honestly this game (and Minecraft's Optifine) made me very biased against TAA for the longest time and I've only recently begun to see the advantages it has over FXAA and other methods after seeing it implemented much better in other games.

Character creation is disappointing to say the least. This kind of feature is extremely important to me and is honestly a dealbreaker to me in some cases. I will sometimes outright refuse to play a good game just because its character creator is bad. There is a severe lack of interesting hairstyles. Too much focus was put on this punk theme. The quantity of them isn't an issue, but rather that there was nothing more... well normal or familiar that I could settle on. No shade to anyone who likes a whole side of their head shaved off but I personally don't like those kinds of hairstyles. Additionally, there are VERY few times you ever even get to see your character so the entire thing feels kind of pointless. I didn't feel like I was able to settle on a decent face configuration either, they all looked off. Most NPC characters in game looked great though, this is just a player character issue.

Vehicle designs are decent (I modded this part the most so I can't give a very good description of how they are) but they control horribly. It felt practically impossible not to crash every 2 seconds in a car without a mod to change their controls and handling. Motorcycles are the only thing I felt comfortable riding and I still had to mod those.

I can't go into too much detail on story things but I will say that those 3 big main story boxes that display a percentage are VERY misleading. They make it feel like they're meant to show what ending you're headed towards, and that isn't necessarily untrue, but the descriptions are so vague and CONSTANTLY gives off the wrong idea. If you want a spoilerless playthrough, that is going to be very difficult when the game decides to condition you into constantly being paranoid you're going towards the ending you don't want.

Overall I'd give the game a 7/10 in its current state. It's a very fun game and worth a try (though not at full price), but it still has many lingering shortcomings from its rocky development. Do not feel ashamed if you start wanting to cheat through the leveling system or using an exp glitch to farm really fast. The story and gunplay are really what you're probably gonna enjoy the most. Don't get your expectations too high, but don't go in thinking this is the same game as when it first released. There is something good here and now is a good time to look for it.

I'd say a meh but with a more positive tone. 6.5/10. The gameplay itself is very enjoyable, although I have a fair amount of issues.

First of all, this game takes WAY too long to complete. I like long games. I hate when a game I really love ends. This game, however, does not at all justify its length. The kingdom management aspect of the game is basically nothing but padding. I didn't enjoy anything about it other than the dialogue decisions it offered. I would've just set it to automatic, however there are partner story quests that apparently require it to be not automatic so I wound up having to endure it. Even after cheating to speed that stuff up, I am STILL not done with the game at 162 hours. I only recently completed the Pitax chapter and killed Irovetti. I do not plan on finishing this game. I've had my fill. I hear the next game mostly ditches this kinda thing so hopefully I'll enjoy it more.

Edit: I have played the sequel for a while. They kept kingdom management and made it worse. It's now just an incoherent mess and it STILL has the "you can make it automatic but some quests are still locked behind it" restriction. Absolutely tragic.

Next up is the randomness. Look: I know this is Pathfinder - a DnD inspired game. It is MEANT to have a ton of random ♥♥♥♥. That makes sense. I myself play Pathfinder sessions with friends and as much as it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks to roll a nat 1 and get nearly killed at the start of a fight, the fact that someone is actually able to dynamically adapt the events to the situation makes it fun and if I don't have a needlessly cruel DM I can know that I at least won't die if I play decently safe and smart in response to my poor luck. My experience playing this game, however, has made me decide that much of the randomness found in TTRPGs just do not belong in a video game; especially one that outright ENCOURAGES savescumming. Tons of the RNG is entirely arbitrary and can be bypassed with enough patience just by savescumming. Even if you had access to only ONE save slot it would still not change much. This game needs to remove a lot of the randomness and heavily restrict saving to save points scattered throughout an area you might visit. I believe that a lot of the randomness should just be outright ditched in favor of static requirements. If you don't meet the required stat, you just fail the save or whatever you'd be rolling. No randomness. You either have the stats for the action or you don't. Initiative is also too arbirary. I think there should be a speed stat for each enemy or party member like in Pokemon and the turn order is based on who has the higher speed stat. Now there's no need to bother savescumming for better turn orders since it's not like doing so would change anything. I'm all for accessibility options in games but with how lenient the save system is, it completely removes pretty much any stakes if I can just save every 2 seconds. Best case scenario? Future games would get both the less random and very random game modes. A win-win (though absolutely a huge undertaking).

Next is the cryptic choices for partner quest outcomes. It's way too easy for partner quests to take the "bad" route. Although some partner quests have pretty obvious "good" choices, it often takes like a single poor choice to completely ♥♥♥♥ up the rest of the questline. From what I could tell, many questlines have tons of mostly meaningless dialogue choices and then there's one single choice within the span of 1-3 quests that will irreversibly cement the ending you get. There really needs to be some leniency. I don't wanna spoil a lot so I'll refrain from really talking about any here but I'll at least say that I'm still VERY butthurt about Ekundayo's quest.

Lastly is the balance. I don't know what the ♥♥♥♥ the devs (or I) did but it feels like no matter how I configure the difficulty, it's either brutally hard to the point that it's just unfun and grindy as hell or it's straight up shutting my brain off. Much of the game after I believe chapter... 2? Was it chapter 2? It was whenever the funky plant stuff happens. Anyways that section of the game is like an enormous difficulty spike where it felt like a ton of my resources for combat were drained almost entirely just from 1 single encounter. I'd have to rest after every 1 or 2 battles. After gradually lowering the difficulty in an attempt to fine tune things, I couldn't really find a good balance. It was always either all or nothing for the difficulty. I think the game needs to have its difficulty take a more endurance based approach and I think that limiting saving your game would help with that a lot. Endurance as in how many encounters you can get through in 1 rest.

Overall, this is a very good first attempt for a game like this. It very accurately translates a Pathfinder session into video game form... albeit for better or for worse (personally I feel as though it's for the worse). This kind of game absolutely has potential but future iterations need to focus on the main gameplay more and also ideally remove a lot of the arbitrary randomness and savescumming potential. It's not like a Pathfinder or DnD video game can't work without a real human DM; there just needs to be heavy concessions to accomodate the lack of one. Here's to hoping I'll enjoy WotR a lot more than this.

I think one could find a good amount of enjoyment in this game. I remember having some fun in the past, but honestly I cannot for the life of me play this game with how slow the start is. It's so miserably boring and repetitive that I really just can't bring myself to play. There's a point where it picks up, but I would rather play something that is good all the way through.
