Game has its flaws, yeah, but overall the experience is really fun and I had a blast playing it.
If you are wondering if you'll like the game, try Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen first, it is way cheaper and if you like it, you'll most likely like the 2.

They're masterworks, all. You can't go wrong.

Depuis la mise à jour 1.0, le jeu n'est plus du tout le même, et pas en bien, ramenez nous l'ancien Hunt : Showdown !

Edit : Since then, the game really went up in quality, I would recommend it heavily, it's a fresh air in the PvPvE genre
