Well... That was rather challanging, but also enjoyable!

I actually liked that you are supposed to use your revolvers a lot more often than in the main game, where most players forget about them completely. 100% accuracy and consistent, yet low damage helps a lot with the enemies you are facing. Except for the Arachnoids. When you have to hide behind a wall of course.

3 maps from half scrapped alpha maps. I am glad that they were reused in a DLC

The final boss is not the regular beefy boss you are supposed to shoot until it dies. Instead you are expected to dodge it's attacks and activate switches to kill it. (Yes I know that you can chainsaw him for hours, but it's boring)

Actually, the fight before him was a lot harder. I didn't had any health and I had to kill a small horde of kleers that didn't want to rush at me immidiately.

2 hours of this special gameplay I lacked in the base game.

Interesting, good, fun.

- The game isn't very lore friendly either
- Endgame grind

They fixed it, it works on Linux once again.

Only perverts are gonna enjoy this game.

Anyway, a very unusual recommendation for new players: Playing Destiny 1 on PS4/PS5 or X1/XboxSeries will be a much better new player experience, than what you will see here.

Even though that game is locked to 30fps and has fixed FOV, and has slower gameplay in general, it will be a much better introduction to the Destiny world.

Small tip: Please do not boost your lvl for that, or you will be drowning in stuff you don't understand, after all it's a full experience with all content available, at least for the first character let all the stuff appear when it is supposed to appear.

Bungie recently started doing discounts for Destiny the Collection! You still may buy it at a full price if you want and can, up to you.

Unfortunately there is another downside of the first Detiny, the matchmaking obviously isn't very populated, you will have much higher chances finding people through XB's built-in LFG system, or (for those PS-peasants the only option :p) through external places, like reddit and 2 most popular Legacy Destiny LFG Discord servers.

Destiny 2 is a free to try experience, you are still expected to pay for everything, and the store with all those confusing options and numerous expensive DLCs is very unappealing. At least with Destiny 1 you get a full experience without any paid content being removed.
