Big anime tiddies and vampire edginess combined with a pretty decent souls-like gameplay system makes this pretty enjoyable 7/10 from the time I've had with it so far (about 8 hours). Heartily recommended on a discounted price!

This game was a rather disappointing experience. Silence is a sequel to one of my favorite games of Daedalic's previous works, The Whispered World. While the chance to 3d models and environments looks quite good it had not impacted the gameplay very well. Doing anything, even the simplest of tasks, takes an unreasonable amount of time. Loading between screens took quite a long time too, although that could just be because of my aging hardware. The story itself was alright but very poorly told. Voice direction is a joke, and the pacing of the dialogue is bizarrely rushed in both the German and English audio. The music was passable but not memorable.

In conclusion I would probably recommend that anyone curious about this game go play The Whispered World instead, and maybe pick this up if they're desperate to experience another trip into familiar territory.

Memes. Disgustingly dank memes and game references. Not funny or clever, and gameplay that I can find better versions of for free in browser flash games.

Early Access Review
I bought the game on a whim because it just launched here on steam, it had conveyor belts, and a handful of decent reviews. I#m not a hard sell when it comes to building assembly lines and stuff like that. It's the reason I enjoy some casual Anno now and again. This game though got me hooked bad. Within the first 24 hours of me owning the game I clocked in well over 13 hours of play. I've spent a lot of the time not playing looking at let's plays and reading up on design ideas online. If you enjoy fussing over details and optimizing supply lines you'll enjoy this game.

Now, I won't say this game is perfect, because as a product in Early Access this is obviously not true. There are some graphics hitches on my laptop when things get busy on screen (although my lappie isn't great, so it's probably more of a hardware issue), and there's a certain lack of end-game goals. Monsters can feel either completely overwhelming or like their hardly a threat, and so far I haven't found any middle-ground with that.

Currently, the 28th of Feb 2016, I would strongly recommend this game. Devs seem to be quite trustworthy from what I've read on their weekly blog, and general impressions from the community. Unless things take a hard swerve for the worse I'd say this is the most promising and already one of the most entertaining factory and transit games on the market right now.

Also, trains! God I love those insta-death machines of complete annihilation serving my will. All I need is a wagon/locomotive with a mounted turret and I'll be a happy man. Just remember to look both ways when crossing the rails, kids.
