Short and sweet, quite satisfying!

Fantastic, short, and sweet. I am not the fastest reader and not the smartest person, but I got through this in around ten and a half hours and had a great time doing so. Enjoyable characters, nice visuals, good writing, and a compelling mystery.

Well worth your time if you like visual novels, and maybe worth a try if you're on the fence about the format.

I'm writing this review before the second part is out, but Void Shadows was great fun and the new archetypes and companion were fantastic additions to the game. The fleshing out of the ship's crew was a great enhancement too. If the second DLC has as much to offer, then this pass is well worth the money in my book.

Arguably one of the best 40k games ever made. While it is not a perfect game in technical terms (I've had a number of mostly harmless bugs), it offers an excellent narrative experience and a satisfying mechanical challenge. The game does a great job at catering to the fantasy of being the newly ascended head of a merchant dynasty and explorer.

Not every companion will be for every player, but I was faced with multiple moments of having to make tough choices as to which ones would be in the active party (of six), because I loved a lot of them.

As a final note, I also want to say that as their first shot at co-op gameplay, Owlcat really knocked it out of the park and I had very few issues playing through the entire campaign with a friend. It helped that the friend in question had zero interest in the ship-to-ship combat, since there's only a single ship under your control.

If you've got any interest in CRPGs and Warhammer 40k, this is a fantastic game. If you only have an interest in one of those two, then this might still be worth checking out!

It's good RPG!

Performance is a little rocky, but I'm somewhere between minimum and recommended specs, so that's to be expected. Game plays great, as long as you're willing to put up with a couple harsh lessons. This isn't a game that'll hold your hand. It's the kind of game that'll have you run into a cyclops in the middle of the night (you can't see far at night, so by the time you do he's right on top of you), who then proceeds to beat the ever-loving ♥♥♥♥ out of you. After you die you get to pick if you want to reload the autosave a couple seconds before the cyclops attacked or 2 hours ago when you last rested at an inn.

Also, all the microtransaction stuff can be bought in game easily. It's stupid that it's even there.

If you like random dungeons and leveling up, this is pretty much all random dungeon and leveling up!

Great game, just wish the weapon crates would auto-collect at the end of missions.

It's not very long, but for the asking price I think it's quite enough. I would have liked a few more layers of puzzle to dig into, but as it stands I would still recommend this game to anyone who wants an hour or so of mildly spooky puzzle solving. It really nails the atmosphere and got me with a well-earned jumpscare once or twice.

I suck at this game, but it's still a lot of fun!
