Jojo's Bizarre Space Misadventure
オープニングOST: エドヴァルド・グリーグによる山の王の殿堂
Opening OST: Hall of the Mountain King by EDVARG GRIEG

>4th playthrough due to issues, last plathrough the host accidentally killed me and his wife by tacking us with a VW Golf
>Host driving with us riding in the back, we're heading to a haunted house while Hall of the Mountain King is playing
>Roll up to the house, it activates its iZa Worldo stand. Our FPS tanks to 1 FPS a minute
>Cry as I struggle back into the car, classical music taunting us from the radio
>Drive away, our FPS recovers
>Hall of the Mountain King starts playing, we drive back to the house
>Game Freezes
>The Car teleports, the ground has disappeared?
>The Host stares at me confused. The Host stares at his wife confused. We all stare at each other confused
>Host says he'll exit the car and try to fix it
>I look out the window and see the sky
>Confused why it looks like the sky is upside down
>Realize in horror as we've been launched into the stratosphere
>Friend opens door before I can warn him- he is launched out of the car and eaten by the avoid
>It's only me and his wife now, the car is launched further into space
>All is dark, I can no longer see the planet or the sky
>The stars look so beautiful and yet horrifying.
>Take out shotgun, gun her down. End her suffering in this hell
>The car has returned back into the planet's stratosphere, I can see the clear blue sky
>I am ready to end my torment, I jump out the car door
>My screen fades to white as I begin to meet death. Hall of the Mountain King has finally stopped playing

All of are us laughing as we realize the absurdity of this bootleg experience. Kinda terrible game, would still recommend.

PSA Warning: Please do not play bloody whiskers mode unless you are currently snorting cocaine

The game offers a combination of a unique artstyle, fun gameplay, and the voice of Geralt from witcher narrating a typical adventure game in which you perform side scrolling, dark souls combat to commit genocide on the French evil Frog Kingdom. The game has does not have a rpg skills mechanic so there is a minimal grind, though it does become slightly repetitive transitioning between stages and areas fighting mobs. The map and world is designed beautifully, which certainly does help but going through the sewers 5x does wear out the novelty a bit. One thing which is a slight critique is the game gives you quests for the sake of having a quest/objective. For example, in the first mission you are told to grab nails to repair the fast travel 'carriage' by the NPC, which just happen to be right next to said NPC in a nearby corpse. Mission accomplished I suppose?

The game offers three difficulties, Easy, normal, and 'bloody whiskers'. While the game is fun, this game mode is beatable but becomes deadly infuriating as the game progresses. There are three main reasons for this. The first is that the game does not have I-frames, and dodging becomes as a way to move past a target or move away an enemy attack. This means positioning becomes incredibly important as wrong position will mean death and even correctly performing a dodge can still result in your getting hit. Getting hit also means instant death in many scenarios as the enemy attacks very rapidly, able to follow up immediately to kill you afterwards. The second is that certain attacks *must* be blocked a certain way, however, this is also incorrect due to the previous mentioned flaw.

For instance, a 'red' heavy attack indicator means it must be dodged is unblockable- however, your dodges are still able to be hit during the dodge as it does not perform an i-frame and *After* the dodge as the enemy immediately follows up. Certain bosses such as Red Wart also have high mobility/teleport moves which means your attack window is non-existent in some scenarios. It creates a frustrating mental juggling where you must not only dodge a distinctive but somewhat random enemy pattern, you must do so while maintaining positioning in the center of the map as dodging towards the edge of the map means you cannot rely on an i-frame dodge to avoid attacks which must be dodged but provide no invulnerability for performing said dodge.

A third note is that unlike games which feature a bosses doing interesting move sets, enemies in this game respond on a color system which is somewhat inaccurate. *Circle* attacks must be dodged away and yet there are bosses which have circle attacks which require you to both dodge away OR towards the enemy, and there is a split second to determine which is the correct position to dodge as they both use the same attack indicators. The enemies are 2d and thus provide no real way to predict or use enemy body language to determine the mode of attack, and it is wholly reliant on having a reaction time equal or great to a CS:GO esports player or being Kirito from SAO.

All in all, still a fun game and even playing blood whiskers mode it was enjoyable until up to the midway point where the attacks became too dizzing to follow up. While some people will compare the hardest difficulty level as a dark souls like challenge, its more accurate to call it an Epileptic version of Dance dance revolution where tapping too much to the left/right will kill you and some moves actually require you to hit the opposite step despite what shows up on your screen.

Great game but horrible optimization and constant bricking of turns/saves

I think the game surprised alot of people for having a solid gameplay, great audio design, and a corny yet very immersive story.
What also surprised alot of people is how incredibly unoptimized the game is ranging from low FPS and gaems bugs which can brick your save, i've had it happen twice now which is understandably quite frustrating. I wish I could give a mixed review as the game is nice but the optimization leads much to be desired for.
Campaign wise is another issue, as on the gameplay side of things, massive RNG events can result in a game end with hull breaches but repairing or swappng researches does not save your progress but insteads removes the time+resources spent to do so which is definitely not a good choice when certain research projects (Such as repairing your ship) can result in gameover if not done

I started off my first game on the hardest difficulty.

I had a city of a 150 people. I was proud to have built a resilient city that survived against the odds, towering automatons brought in supplies while workers toiled for coal and wood. The shift would end and they'd retreat to their quaint Victorian style houses while gatherers would go out to scavenge for food.

Then the Great Frost hit. The gatherers died outside the city died first, hit by the blizzard unable to make it back. We ran out of food in a day. The generators failed to provide enough warmth for what coal we did stockpile until they eventually ran out as well. Every hour would see someone die, dozen of corpses by the day. The number of survivors in my city dropped as the temperature did, and it would not stop dropping. The workers wanted to overthrow me for failing to live up to my promises for the city, but those mutineers died to the cold as well. It got to a point that my workers were too cold and hungry to enact a revolt against my failed rule as they died miserably in their homes. I no longer had to worry about the city revolting due to food and coal shortages because there was no longer anyone left *alive* in my city.

When the winter ended. The game congratulated me for the survival of my city. Only the automatons were left, dutifully carrying out their programmed orders without a care in the world.

We began with such promise.

By the start of the game, we were 3 days ahead of our intended schedule, the workers were fed hearty meals, we ensured no man worked in dangerous conditions, and the workers were allowed to elect their own representatives and request change to policy. The workers cheered my name when I ordered their rescue from the cave ins, and I passed every request for living conditions or shorter shifts. The docks were alive with supplies coming in from the motherland. I wanted us all to survive- together!

Then we started to fall behind in the quotas, we made people's militia to deter discontent and made official party statements on what constituted 'a good worker'. We blamed the engineers on all our setbacks, and cursed them for all our misfortunes or worse- collaborating with owls to give us bad luck.

By the end of it, I completely stopped caring. Only the great project mattered. I had men by the hundreds work on the generator in an attempt to rush its completion. Every death was easily replaced by a fresh shipment of manpower, and London ensured we were never without. We could no longer guarantee worker safety, so all I cared about were results. Men were thrown into toxic gas and told to try their best. We had innocent people- workers and engineers- shot in front of the cheering masses for crimes of 'inciting unrest' against the construction of the generator. I rubber stamped each of those deaths and nodded absentmindedly. I became used to the daily executions, I personally encouraged them so long as it kept the workers in line and our timetables on schedule. We had people working 24 hour shifts, in the worse conditions, only sustained by dry biscuits and the taste of empty promises.

I passed a policy promising to send back the bodies of the fallen home in beautiful steel company coffins, a testament to their unwavering sacrifice to the rest of us. It was a joke. I don't think I ever sent a single body home. I never bothered to check the names of the deceased, the people who had died under my directives, only the numbers of who was still alive to work- and only occasionally- the numbers of those who were no longer alive to be under my employ.

Even as the ocean froze over and workers died in their sleep due to our food and coal reserves being exhausted, we pushed onward and completed that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ generator. Through the sheer weight of numbers, through the cold frostbite, our compatriots ensured that the last city on earth would have a chance. New Liverpool, maximum capacity 500, chance of survival: Poor.

But it would at least have a chance of survival.

♥♥♥♥ owls.

A very fun rogue like game, with charming companions, tense moments, and satisfying triumphs as you compete to become the most famous explorer of the Empire. Two complaints I have though is that the game has alot of meta to it, that ruins the atmosphere of a 'curious' expedition. Shrines will always piss off a God, Temples require opening mechanics towards the end, successfully completing an expedition will require a wiki or numerous ingame failures.

While failing is certainly part of the fun, it can also be incredibly frustrating due to the very specific nature of unlocking new explorers. Also, the game's survival mechanics aren't too fleshed out, with only a sanity meter instead of a food and drink meter. The game has a ton of RNG, and after a few runs you'll probably see the large repeat of events, but it's still a nerve wrecking expedition and I do recommend the game on sale if you have a chance.

Unusual skins for guns do not give off particle effects, can't even copy Tf2 right.

Walked up to an enemy with a reskinned gun and the AI laughed at me.
Attempted to kill them with the new +2 stat boost to the gun but was too distracted trying to show off my pretty gun that I spent 300 sheckles unboxing, ended up being cuffed by the normal police officer. Game suggested I spent an extra 300 more sheckles to get the +4 stat boost instead.

0/10, would rather play tf2.

Fault Milestone One is about a communist pacifist equal-sex magical monarchy where our main chracters, anime Alice in wonderlands and anime Corvo Attano live in. A mallicious Chinese warlord blitzkriegs it with an Ethopian army of child soldiers and african- I mean Shadow Warriors. Using Aurora Borealis. our heroes teleport themselves themselves away and end up landing in a different continent in the city of Kardia, where capitalism. misogyny. and science exist. (I swear it's not America)

Trapped in these new lands, without their magical universal healthcare, they must find a way back home before they die of mana-deprivation. Along the way, you get to experience the sociological analyzation of societal and culture developement as a result of resouce scarcity, AI and human morality defining what is 'human', environmental psychology, philanthropy vs patronage and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of other things I wouldn't have expected from a what I thought was going to be a $15 lucky star. Now they must journey back, gain experience and retake their capitol before the enemy scores a domination victory on the other civilizations.

I bought this game because I thought "This art looks pretty, if this was an anime I would watch it."
Secretly this VN contained Mozart level music and was so indepth with it's discussion of politics and culture that I had to look and see if this was a Paradox Interactive game. The writing is fluid, detailed and never dull, and the characters alongside their stories are livid. It contains alot, ALOT of feels pertaining to loss, repentance, forgiveness.
It has Clannad level emotional scenes. It's an extraordinary story and I will be buying the second milestone.
