Heard about this on their youtube channel, which I happen to frequent.
Never disappointed by organisation and self-care tools with a nice presentation.
I regularly meditate to de-stress as it is, and this is good for that too!

Flipline Studios was one of the first to bring their classic flash games from the flash format to standalone apps. This started with their Android games, ever continuing a series with fascinating lore and a simple concept that can keep one engaged for hours and hours.
As such, their first Steam release does not disappoint either!
If you liked their games before, you'll love it.
If you don't know them? Give it a try, it oozes charm and personality.

Let's see...

The start is essentially a carbon copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
I cannot speak for what else it brings to the table yet, but might update this if I screw around with it some more later.

Now you're probably wondering why I'm already writing a review then, if the game has other things to offer beyond that.
Very simple: If you want to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons and don't have a Switch, you should get it and play it.
Especially while it's still free!

I mean, it has deer in charge rather than tanukis and one of my starting villagers is an opossum,
THAT alone already makes it superior to Animal Crossing's extremely limited villager species already.
Also, the camera can be rotated, fully. That's kiiiind of a big deal!

Only thing that could actually make this even better is if you didn't have to play as a human yourself x3
That's a personal preference though and hardly something to fault them for.

Update after some more time:

The game has the same mile system, but THESE miles let you skip to the next day,
which is amazing. Not sure about further islanders, but I've met a few on island trips, none of which expressed interest in moving - they all just knew me. Oh and a Raccoon showed up on my island and started fishing. The collectables seem to be more varied, with little minigames that don't seem too tedious yet. Kind of want to compare it a little more to Stardew Valley than Animal Crossing - it's kind of a hybrid? I've also found it surprisingly difficult to put the game down, so I'd say it definitely gets my upvote still.

Me, after an hour of introducing my boyfriend to Spelunky (with Spelunky 2, rather than 1): "So, did you like it?"
BF: "It's very unfair, I hate it."
Me: "Wanna keep going?"
BF: "Yes, please."

Very refreshing.

Here are a banana, a bottle of olive oil, a band aid, a coin and a donut, go fix the world.
...And that's why I love this game.

Just kidding. I came because it looked cute but the story is really really good. I absolutely loved the entire narrative and any of the twists and turns it took - to keep it spoiler-free.

I really hope they make more games in the future cause this was an amazing experience and I'll recommend it to all my friends and with this TO THE WOOOOORLD hopefully.

Why is this game not more popular?
People compare it to certain... similar games and the call those games better.
Well, yes the gameplay isn't an all new invention but it's creepy in a good way. Gothic, too.
It doesn't rely on gore and other bodily fluids for its jokes and cree factor - that's a plus.
And it has a lot of levels and replayability. Now, mind you, I've not even beaten Chapter 2 - it's challenging -
but there are 8 levels per run so far and two more chapters to go after this one.

Note: I have this game on steam AND on my phone.

Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic, what to say...
Recenly I remembered I have this game on PC too,
after I beat two campaigns on my phone over the years
and none on PC...so I went back to it and well,
look, I breezed through all campaigns.

There's a decent amount of strategizing involved,
pick the right hero combinations,
pick the right gear and the right mission,
pick the right attacks for the right enemies.
All the while not getting terribly complex.

There are a lot of encounters, all of which can go many ways... some of which are comedic.
All in all a nice way to pass time when you need a break from something complex.

Despite my childhood Trauma being related to hunters and taxidermy,
I really like this game. If that doesn't convince you, I don't know what will!

In all seriousness though, when the game works it's beautiful and exciting, yet at the same time very nice and relaxing...
When bugs show up... well it's a bit annoying but quite frankly nothing that bothers me too much.
