97.3 hours in my first play through, 167 screenshots taken, many tears spilled in the last hours.

At the start of the game, I found myself not really "into" it. After 10 years of waiting, I think I put too much pressure on it and found I was disappointed. Once I got over myself, and actually gave the game a chance, I started to enjoy myself.

Exploring, doing the puzzles, earning factions and killing baddies, plus doing all the quests and locating and recruiting the "team". I found the fighting to be much more pleasurable than precious DA games. I did find that I was there to be a cheerleader for the team, rather than having a story myself. If that makes sense. I found I didn't have any issues to get over. In the previous games, there was always that thing, my family was murdered, hunted or you know, sewn together... eeps, in this one I didn't get that.

It felt as if anyone could have been there and that my character wasn't that important except to make everyone else feel better about themselves and me fixing their issues.

So, I recommend the game, as a game, and it felt like a decent game itself, but I didn't get that same "feeling" I got when I played the other ones. The "feels" from the old game carried over into this one, just as they did with the other games, but I dont think I am left feeling anything for this one, nothing for me to carry over. No world save needed for this one, not that they used that anymore anyways.

I am probably failing in my trying to help you understand my thoughts on the game without spoiling anything. That in itself is insanely hard.

Do I think people could play this and enjoy it. Sure. I think new players to the DA world might like it more as they wont really know what is missing. Will I play it again, probably to choose the choices I didnt this time.

THIS IS A PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK review. You will understand if you read below. :)

I have played this game solo, as well as with a friend. The game is fun until that dreaded moment when for some reason it does not actually save your progress and you lose EVERYTHING. This happened in both the multiplayer and solo play. Yes, we both exited to the main screen completely.

It kind of sucks because in my solo play of about 3 or 4 days, I had gotten to level 16, made an island I was proud of thus far and then, on logging back in on that fourth day, found all my progress, purchased islands, pets, houses, etc. all gone.
I thought okay, maybe I will just play multiplayer with my friend, again, this time after only the second day of playing, all progress was gone.

So we had to go through all the levels again, reopening all the portals, doing the quests, etc.
This really makes you not want to bother. I dont understand why there isn't a SAVE now option rather than this forever spinning thing in the corner that apparently refuses to do this job. Wouldn't it be better to trust the player to hit the button and be able to say "Your fault" if there wasn't one done?

The frustration is real. It really needs to be fixed or it isn't even worth playing.
