This game. We Darksiders fans have been waiting for this for quite a while. It's a bit different from the other 2, but Darksiders 2 was also quite a bit different from the first. To me it feels like each horsemen gets their own idenity in the gameplay. Like others have said this one takes a bit from Dark Souls, which definitly has a learning curve considering the other games. It also has a lower difficulty for those who just want to see the story. It can take a little getting into the game for it to feel like Darksiders, but once you do it feels just like home. Fury can be cold hearted and mean, but I wouldn't expect anything less from her as one of the horsemen. I'm really enjoying it. If you're a fan of the series and are open to multiple styles of gameplay evolutions then check it out. Watch some streams/trailers/let's plays, see if the mechanical changes work for you. Personally, I think it's a great evolution and a nice stand out to set each horsemen apart from the rest.

I didn't follow this game much, so I didn't know what to expect exactly. From what I'd read I thought this was going to be an MMORPG style game, which I found it is NOT. This game is more of an open world RPG with multiplayer aspects. After that I kinda changed my expectations. I like the "safe house hubs" in each zone, where you can see other players, it adds a living aspect to the world. The Dark Zone plays host to 24 players and can be incredibly trying at certain points but I love it! I personally haven't had many issues with running this game currently, but I can understand why people were frustrated with the day 1 server issues. It happens. I'm more surprised it only took a few hours for them to get it all sorted.

Alone I think this game is ok, but playing with friends or other players is what really makes this game awesome. If you don't have anyone else to play with there are plenty of ways to get into matchmaking, and you may even make new friends in your time in Manhattan.
