its peak fromsoftware, the boss fights are cinematic and challenging, the music is amazing, the new weapon types and spells are very fun to use, the new characters are great and it expands upon the base game in an amazing way, i hope that the sequel or 2nd dlc is just as amazing. easily one of the best pieces of fromsoftware content

would be better if i had friends to play it with.

played through it on the itch.io version before it came to steam, its a little buggy but really fun! im upset that it had to be changed to nightmare kart, but maybe a "mod" for it will drop that changes it back to bloodborne kart? just hopeful thinking though

its a really good game BUT it very much feels like it should be marked as early access.

enemies feel very unbalanced, some guns are just completely obsolete or broken and dont appear to do what theyre supposed to, spawn rates are just completely broken no matter how many times they say "dw guys we fixed it this time", most armor is just a reskin of another with the exact same bonus apart from 1 point being in armor instead of mobility, helmets are just cosmetic, capes are just cosmetic (both of which very heavily limits any unique builds you could make), it has a crappy kernel level rootkit anticheat which is just not necessary at all, and matchmaking and load times are some of the worst ive experienced (which isnt exactly the devs fault since they didnt anticipate this game to get so huge).

yet despite every single flaw ive just layed out, its still a very fun time, as long as you arent playing with the braindead randoms that plague the online (like every other co-op game)

update: game is just getting worse with every update in my opinion, needing to grind out 1000 super credits, which in my experience takes literal days, or pay 10 dollars just to use the new weapons is incredibly scummy, and the new weapons are just identical copies of previous ones but with a different flavored ammo type and worse damage, when it could very easily just be an attachment or a modifier for the original weapon, or theyre just bad and unusable. theres typically 1 fun and good weapon per update but it just gets nerfed into the ground after a week of fun. ever since i started playing ive just used the punisher and whatever sidearm i feel like since everything else just isnt good. and all the new armors are just the old ones but just a slightly different model and any new modifiers are boring and uninspired or useless. not to mention how poorly optimized the game is since its running on an engine thats been discontinued since 2016, this game couldve been great and fun but it just gets more and more boring doing the exact same missions and planets with the same underperforming weapons.

i adore the fighting styles in this game theyre all so much fun to use (apart from gun style, it could use with being more in depth tbh)

great game but it badly needs an update, the content that is here is amazing though (with friends)
