Students recently voted Yes to Invest and will increase the Student Union Fee to $100 per semester beginning in fall 2023. Next steps are to secure approval from the Texas State Legislature to raise the cap on the Student Union Fee. If this happens, the proposed union facility will go through design and development and then construction will begin. Stay tuned for updates!

The Intramural and Intercollegiate Athletics Fee (proposed $7 per semester credit hour) did not pass. While we are disappointed with the outcome, administrators still plan to secure approval from the Texas State Legislature to raise the cap on Intramural and Intercollegiate Athletics Fee. If approved by legislators, students will be asked to vote on that increase at a future date to be determined.

Please note students were not required to vote for both referenda. The difference between the two totals is attributed to students abstaining from one option or the other.
