I'm making myself put this game down to write this review, which should tell you something about how good it is.

A very clever mix of bullethells and FFXIV MMO raids, with unique bullethell-flavored twists on the raid mechanics. Normal mode is plenty difficult, and the harder difficulties are extra icing on top of an already wonderfully complete cake.

Most of the issues are fixed now, so with that I can definitely recommend the game. One of the most unique and fun fighting games I've played.

Update, Feb 1, 2024: The latest update broke casual and ranked matchmaking and also player rooms. Impossible to play the game online right now. Please never work with Cyclone Zero again.

Very fun and interesting take on the Slay the Spire formula.

There's a lot of performance issues with the game stuttering way too often.
There are some design decisions that I really question, like not being able to zoom in on the map screen nor mousing over a building on the main island to see what it is. A lot of things about the game aren't communicated super clearly, like the circular gauge in the top left surrounding the minimap.
It tells you the level requirement for the island you're on.
The tool wheel also feels clunky to use with keyboard and mouse.
Despite these issues, the overall loops is very fun, the characters are really cute, and I'm enjoying my time with it. Four hours went by in a flash, and the combat system is very fun compared to similar games in the genre. If the above issues get fixed, 100% recommended. Right now it's only like a 75% recommendation.

It's a short game, only taking 1 to 2 hours to beat it depending on your reading speed.
This is 100% to its benefit in my opinion. The game tells its story, and that story is so genuine, so real, and so wonderful. It felt like someone who had actually grown up as an immigrant or an immigrant's child wrote this game.
The moment where the son was texting his coworker about how he was ashamed of being Tamil growing up, then deleting the text. I felt so understood.
The soundtrack is wonderful.
Absolutely astounding, please play this.

This game really makes me want to fight someone in a street

Absolutely, 1000% get this game if you like Vampire Survivors. It's got an interesting spin on the VS formula by making you amass an army of minions instead of weapons on your main character, so you end up watching your massive horde of little dudes go to town on ever growing hordes of heroes and beasties.
The soundtrack is killer too, please let me buy it :(
