I started this game because of my love for these hardcore shooters; I stayed becausethis game is as rewardingas it is punishing. The devs keep adding and the community is great. Teamwork is a must.

I loved parts of this game: the atmosphere, the story and the characters were great in my brief period of play time.

I disliked everything else. The hybrid melee-shooter controls were the first thing i changed as a mouse and keyboard player, but it never felt right. Darktide and Vermintide had a system that worked well, and I don't know why you wouldn't innovative and use it here (research leads me to believe that this control scheme is a holdover from the first SM game). To top off my gripes about the gameplay: the enemies are sponges, the weapons don't feel like they do damage, and the class system is lacking. I feel more tanky as an Ogryn in Darktide than as a Spacemarine in SM 2, and the combat is more visceral (first person camera tends to do that).

Cutscenes worked half the time for me: either with glaring audio synchronization issues or just not playing (after validating files and starting a second campaign, I had to watch the opening on YouTube). I was getting solid FPS while playing, so that's a plus.

The gameplay was so jarringly awkward, and the current content looks rather lacking. I cannot recommend this game for it's price.

Been looking forward for this game for a long time. Huge fan of the Metro Series, I started getting into the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series a few years after that.

If you like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. story, but wanted upgraded atmosphere, mechanics and gun modifications - then this is the game for you. Make no mistake, this game is HARD, it is gritty, and it is punishing; but the atmosphere couldn't be better. Thankfully they have forgiving tutorials.

If you have never played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - I feel like this is still a great installment to jump into. You end up telling the story versus the story being told to you.

The lackluster optimization is a bit of a disappointment, even the latest NVIDIA Drivers (at release) seemed to only help boost a few frames. With time (and maybe a better GPU than a 3080Ti) I think this game will be polished and GOTY material.

Do you like overcooked or plate up, but don't like the total failure aspect? Do you want to run your very own tavern? Then this is definitely the game for you.

I give credit where credit is due: not requiring a PSN account (essentially going back on Sony's requirements) is a win in my book. But should it have gotten this far to begin with? Who knows - all I know is I'm having more fun on this game with my friends than I have in a long time.

I've paid more money for worse games. Compare Starfield to Elite Dangerous, and it falls a bit flat on the space travel, but still makes you think about fast traveling. The space combat controls are reminiscent of Star Wars Squadrons (simple, but hard to master). The exploration reminds me a bit of No Man's Sky.

You get my point: it takes a lot of great things from other space games. But every one of those games felt "hollow" in some way. I'm barely into the story as this point (at 25 hours that should say something), but everything thus far tells me that the story is better than the other games I've mentioned, while simultaneously putting it in space.

Crashing is a problem, I'm not certain if it's a game or a system optimization issue, but there's a mod for that.

TLDR: Like space games? Want an actual story? Starfield is pretty good and will keep you going. Though I'm a weirdo that liked Cyberpunk when it initially released, so take that with a grain of salt.

Tiny Tina's doesn't add anything new, per say - but it does have the same humor, quests and builds.

Fun game, mostly fixed, pretty visuals, decent story.

Best to go in blind - if you can. The twists in the story do not matter as much as the immersion.

This will not be the next Mass Effect or Dragon Age but it does have much the same elements.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game - the branching choices were a nice touch - and playing it on the hardest difficulty available first time playthrough (Hard) while there is an extreme mode. All of this means there is replayablity with the game. I hope to see more from Spiders - I loved the story they got to tell in GreedFall.
