Amazing, great way to introduce the pre RE4 stories to people even with it being in the middle of the RE1 - 3 story, but definitely play the original after this, as the plot elements do suffer from strange pacing and strange writing choices and even some strange voice performance choices.

It's a good game - but be aware that it is blatantly unfinished. Like games like Ready Or Not this was clearly "finished" for financial or contractual reasons to get the big "1.0" number for investors or so they didn't get a reputation as scammers.

Obvious bugs plague various core mechanics, the AI is braindead at the bests of times, systems are designed in such a way as to intentionally slow you down - it's extremely flawed.
I WANT to love it, but it's just not finished in any aspect, everything is undercooked.
NPC's get stuck on siege equipment frequently preventing allies from advancing and just creating a killbox for AI archers because they physically cannot climb the ladders of siege engines, necessitating a restart or retreat.
You'll even see vanilla, unmodded maps with broken texture mapping, causing blue strips across terrain and buildings that doubtless has been reported over the years.

I will say that it runs flawlessly however, all my performance issues are related to not wanting to turn graphics settings down at 1440p without the hardware to support 1440p properly, and even in battles with the max 1000 NPC's at once, I still manage around 40-50 FPS right in the middle with hundreds of NPC's visible.
Whoever did the black magic that is this game's optimisation deserves a billion dollars.

It'd give it an in-between recommend and not recommend if steam gave us that option.

Worth buying if you liked Mount and Blade: Warband, but if you're not a fan of the series, this game is not worth your money at anything but half-price.

If Bannerlord was competing in a 100 meter sprint, it'd be in first for 85 meters, only to trip, fall, and break it's ankle so close to the finish line.

There is no shaming in cheating during the race.

Devs have decided to patch their game as if it was pvp - a weapon is good and *fun*? Patched, benefiting exactly 0 players because this game is not in any way shape or form competitive.

I bought this on launch and still haven't beaten it.

I cannot recommend the game in it's current state. It suffers terrible performance regardless of settings or hardware, dumb and buggy friendly AI (Despite ostensibly making it "more advanced" in the 1.0 update), unreasonably unfair enemy AI who track you through walls and have reaction times faster than a human.

Honestly, the game isn't a SWAT simulator or even a successor to SWAT 4.

It's closer to a modern Rainbow Six game than anything else.
The majority of the missions pit you up against suicidal enemies who refuse to ever comply even when being flashbanged and CS Gas grenade'd by 5 heavily armoured SWAT Officers when they are shirtless with nothing but a 9mm pistol and going through meth withdrawals.

It needed at least another year, probably more. It was not ready for release.

Give this a pass until it's been heavily updated, assuming the developers do not plan on abandoning it.

Needed at least one more year to cook. Typical fatshark game, releasing unfinished or barely working.
