Completely finished the game and loved it. Normally I don't like reading dialogue because I'd rather be "playing" the game but this time I really enjoyed the story and all the characters. Difficulty of the fights are okay, it's not dark souls, and the puzzles are entertaining but not to hard. But what I really loved about this game is the outstanding artstyle.

If you like overcooked you'll probably like this game too. The biggest difference is that you actually have a sense of progression as you are able to improve and expand your restaurant. Plus the game seems better balanced depending on the number of players. Not the biggest fan of starting from scratch but it's nice to see how far you get with every restaurant. Plus each run is different as you can make different choices every time.

Generally speaking, I'm not the biggest fan of survival games. I don't like the constant threat of starvation, freezing to death or just random predators trying to kill me while all I've got is a stick. But The Long Dark manages to balance this aspect so well that I really love this game. It's the perfect mix of always finding enough stuff to survive but still having to worry that you might not make it. The feeling of barely reaching a cabin late at night, completely tired and frozen, is just marvelous. And the story itself is really good. The devs really put their heart into it.

This game is perfect for playing it on and off again. It's gorgeous and always something new to discover. With the procedural generation you'll actually never run out of stuff to find. Plus you can totally play it at your own pace.

Definitely one of the most unique games I've ever played. Hard to explain what it actually is, but I think a game about games, therefore some sort of metagane describes it quite well.
