A smile a day can help keep the dark away.
I've been doing much better and haven't had any negative thoughts almost 3 weeks now.
Trying to keep myself positive isn't hard, but it's believing that what i'm saying is true that's hard.
Just take a deep breath and do a 7/11 and everything will be better after.
Keep your eyes set on short term goals, work on them little by little.
Doing a little is better than doing nothing, and that pushes you one step closer to a goal.
Think about long term if you like to, but don't focus too hard on it. You can get lost and not think you're making much progress. Remind yourself that you've already done so much, even if it doesn't seem like a lot, it is for you.
Surround yourself with those that give you strength and happiness when you need it most.
Sometimes you need to be the one to stand strong for them, but sometimes you can't stand for yourself and that's okay. Even the strongest need help sometimes.
Even the smallest thing that would take just a little to type or say can have an impact on someone that's 10 fold of what you imagine it would be.

All I ask from this is for you to do your best.
Your best doesn't have to get better and better each day.
Sometimes your best is simply getting out of bed, and that's okay! You still gave it your all i'm sure!
Try new things, even if it's small things, you'd be suprised how much 5-10 seconds can change your perspective on things.
Keep it positive for others, and don't be scared to ask for help, it'll make you stronger, believe me.

So dry those eyes, take off that disguise, and show me the true you.
I want to be there to help, to care, and give an arm to lean on.



Poem: Life's Gift

Brittle leaves flicker and fumble across taut and fickle branches
Never quite knowing when to fall
Yet Mother Nature always knows when it is best to end it all
From Green to Auburn the trees turn and unturn
Forever spinning in a cycle

As I lay and watch nature take its course
Holy beams shine through onto the unruley earth
And from nature to nurture I see it happen
Those that have withered breathe new life
From those that have come before them

New poem: Socializing with the Cold

I turn my collar to the cold
Wishing it would fade
Yet this unending wind continues to howl, unhindered
With numb hands I fumble for my pockets
Anxious to get back inside
I find solace in dim lights as I quicken my stride
The deafening noise plays seemingly on repeat in my hollowed ears as I make my escape
I finally spot it, salvation from this natural wrath
With a soft click that thin wooden portal finally seperates us
I sigh happily knowing that I am home

Poem: Letting Go

The only shadows that are cast
Are the ones that I passed
On my way through the forest this day
Mixing dark with light in a constant battle for supremacy

Earth's sounds resound as I skip and bound amongst myself
Leaves dance and clap like an uproarous audience
Yet I do not play a role in this performance

Through a maze of bark I finally see it
A spotless sea of green that stops me in my tracks
I feel a cascade of warmth as a familiar feeling washes over my soul

I kneel before the old wood in this glade
Marking this spot forever
Leaving offerings of peace so that my soul may float with them
Amongst the clouds

Poem: Limitless

My soles grow weary with each upward step
Wishing to spread my wings with those who have more freedom than I
Wanting to see from high, I climb to the heavens to see what i've been missing
Awkward and misplaced steps carry me forward through the clouds
Piled high by ancient earth, I at last rest upon its mighty peak and gaze onto the endless horizon
Spreading like sky, I finally feel connected to nature's true pilots

Poem: School's Out

A stubborn face stares back at my own as my mind lays adrift
Eyes meeting hands like an old western duel
I wait for my moment to strike
The sound of anticipation covers the stale and musty air
Finally with the sound of gunfire and settling dust I emerge victorious
Never having lost against that mechanical enemy
