To any new player trying to get into warthunder, don't bother with downloading it.
Gaijin is hyper predatory to their playerbase, forcing its players at every chance to spend money to avoid going into in-game debt from its ridiculously high repair costs that make high tier impossible to survive in to its awful reward gains that make researching vehicles take hours to days at a time, all the while they activley advertise and showcase vehicles that at best will take you months to get to if you started the game off and don't plan to pay for boosters or premium vehicles. The f2p argument that gaijin constantly bring up is misleading and dishonest, if you aren't paying for boosters and premium it will take you months and over a year total to get atleast up to tier 5, there is absolutley zero reason for the current economy model to exist. If it isn't the godawful grind that will set you spinning your chair around then its the fact that the moderation team and certain developers have a disdain to their player base, which was my breaking point, where a member of the team made fun of players being vocal for a change to make FPE and Parts free and conflating the issue of wanting everything for free.
the boycott that you see around my review and my review itself is a culmination of years of frustration of the game, which im personally grateful of because its been warranted, its amazing how much a game I used to love so much has turned into a dread, not just in me but for so many players.

No servers anywhere found, No players to be seen, the game so empty and dead. A deep thought arises from the top of my mind, not a flashback, not a memory but a sentence. A sentence that I so well fequently use to describe many things. I say it in a calm manner, almost accepting the hollow state that it is in with the following words:

"These ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bastards"

To be honest the game wasin't anywhere close to amazing, it had so many issues even after beta that set the game back to being so great. However when you actually got to playing the game it gave you sense that such issues with the game didn't matter. Gameplay was fun, fair, and simple, the design of the game as a whole stood out from others, and it was one of the few games that NEVER had a pay to win element.

Atari missed out on such an amazing oppurtunity to earn so much profits, they made the horrible desicion to redirect the game to where it is now, but sadly nothing can be done to remedy such stupidity the company had.
