If this game did not have the license attached and had to stand on its gameplay alone it would die within a week. The movement is so absolutely mindshatteringly, abysmally slow it feels just awful to play. I'm fairly certain this is to make it easier for newcomers and console players but on PC and if you have any, and I do mean ANY, experience with shooters this will just feel like an anchor around your neck.

Took way too long to even get into the first dungeon because of the writing and then it hard crashed in said first dungeon because this port of a 2013 Vita game ran out of my 32GB of memory when transitioning from one floor to another, deleting my save file.

To start off, the game has its flaws. There is jank, you have to edit a .txt file to rebind controls, the hitboxes are taking the piss, and the bosses aren't great.
But that's a small price to pay for such a magnificent experience. The atmosphere is palpable, there's tons of ♥♥♥♥ to find, and it just oozes the care that was put into it. I'm not sure if I'd categorise it as a guide game because I think you should at least try to see what you can find on your own but some things are "♥♥♥♥ off, that's impossible" amounts of obtuse. Thankfully that's the optional tings that get you alternative endings or all weapons.
Lunacid is spoopy, it has the right amount of contempt for the player (the mausoleum where Death will just end you if you stick around for too long, or a room that has a weapon in it but will kill you via spiked ceiling crushing you if you don't have a teleporter on you), but also empowerment (you can actually kill Death if you alchemy a weapon out of three impossible to find items and stab the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with it). Highly recommended.

Extremely narrow selection of items to fix so you'll do the same thing over and over again. Paired with needlessly obtuse UX design. Stick to other games in the genre.

If I had a nickel every time this game just hits through parries and dodges, I'd be able to buy Twatter and run it into the ground even faster.

Game doesn't boot anymore. Neither verifying files nor fresh install solved the problem. It's eternally stuck on the initial loading screen at about 66%.

As of the drop of the Separate Ways DLC, the game does not even boot anymore. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying how common this has become in recent times. A game gets an update that completely breaks it. Happened with Remnant II, happened again here. Verifying the files doesn't help, booting directly and not through Steam doesn't help. It's just broken.

As of right now (15th of August) the game doesn't even boot anymore. Tried verifying data through Steam, launching the game directly instead of through Steam. Same result, it's like my PC doesn't even register the command.

Didn't have this issue a week ago, so something broke in one of the patches since then. Have not yet tried reinstalling since it's a massive pain in the ass given the game's size.

I have no idea how you can balls up something as simple as a racing game yet here we are. Terrible performance (got 4 hard crashes in 90 minutes of play time on a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 3080 Strix, 32GB 6400MHz Corsair RAM), extremely limited options that even lacks mandatory features like framerate. I had to limit through Nvidia control panel to not have the game try to push for infinite FPS.
Outside of performance things do not improve. The game is trying to push the street racer culture that NFS Underground also had but gives you 0 options to modify your car outside of cosmetics. Hell the game starts with characters talking about how they restored a car from junker to racer but denies you that very thing by making all you can spend your money on cosmetic. Utterly baffling.

This game will die at launch with a 60 dollar asking price. If it was a focused, mission based PVE game it could work but the PVP is underbaked, intrusive, and in no way up to the free to play competition out there. I get that it's almost certainly too late in development now but please focus the game on the team vs dino aspect instead of trying to force a live service game that will within less than a year.
