EU4 will always be one of my favorite games. It's my most played steam game for a reason. While at its simplest it's a map painting simulator, almost nothing beats the satisfaction of completing whatever goal you set for your campaigns. I've had so many fun moments playing this game and have also met one of my closest friends due to our shared interest in the game.

Although I may have periods where I don't play the game at all, like TF2, I always eventually come back to it and play it for weeks, hunting random achievements or playing whatever Alt-history mod is popular on the workshop at that point.

It's a fun game, although the amount of DLC brings it down a bit since you're paying way more than what you thought you'd initially pay for the full experience with the game. There is the subscription for those who are starting out and don't have any of the DLC and want to experience them all without paying $200+ right out the gate.

If you're able to look past that, it's a really fun game, and one you'll be playing for a long while.
